"What did you say?" I asked Aiden in disbelief.
"I called Serene, and a guy answered. He said he's Serene's boyfriend," he narrated while continuing to drink alcohol.
We were currently in his condo, and I didn't initially plan to visit him. Still, due to his insistence, I gave in. Besides, I wanted to drink too. I haven't had the chance for weeks because I've been busy preparing for an upcoming competition.
"Who is he? You should have found out!"
"Why should I bother? I already cheated on her, and now I should intrude on her chance to be happy," he said, full of regret. "But his voice sounds familiar to me."
