"ALISON!" Dad angrily called me. "How could you say that in the interview? Especially when you perfectly know why Serene left, and it is all your fault!"
"Yeah, Dad! I just did it to save Pristine Panache," I said emotionlessly while facing my laptop. I was having snacks on our veranda when he came to confront me. "If I didn't do that, Serene's hard work would have gone to waste, and I know you wouldn't want that to happen because I'm aware of the significant benefit you get from that business."
