Lea started chanting the spell and Valentin hovered his hand over my forehead. I closed my eyes and tried to push his magic through, trying to dissolve the dark box inside my mind and soul where my memories were deeply buried. I did it with all my might and after almost an hour and didn’t feel anything besides Liv’s and my energy decreasing. We were both exhausted and the dark magic was still unfazed.
I opened my eyes and exhaled, “It didn’t work at all.”
Valentin also opened his eyes and took his hand away, “No, it didn’t. I could barely feel the dark energy magic blocking your memory. I could only sense that it was there, but I couldn’t locate it.”
