I was walking home, not paying attention to my surroundings. I was taking longer than usual to go home.
I was deep in thought pondering on what just happened. We've been dating for a month and that was just how it ended. I was really mad at him and that myself for not being able to know about their relationship behind me even though I'm a werewolf that could easily smell their deception. Then I heard the rustling of leaves behind me. That's impossible there's no leaves behind you it's a clean neighborhood and very urbanized. There were no trees in this area so where did the sound came from?
I turned to look behind me, but there was nothing. I told myself that maybe it was just my imagination. And just as I turned away, I barely dodge a dagger thrown right at my face. Blood trickled from my face I could feel the shallow cut just above my nose. Although it should have close really fast, due to my werewolf unnatural regeneration ability, it burned my skin instead.
There was only one person I knew that wanted me dead. Skorde. After all those years he finally managed to find us. I thought my day was already bad.
The good news was the hounds’ man was a novice. Based on what I could tell, higher level members of the brotherhood had several hounds or dogs accompanying them, but this one only had one single dog. It wasn't even a hellhound, just a really large dog about the size of a motorcycle.
The dog had dust colored fur painted with a red tattoo running from his face to his back that were the same color as his glaring and fiery raging eyes. It smiled at me with its teeth that resembled a row of knives.
I started muttering the incantation to the woodland spell. Vine sprouted from the road and entangled their limbs. Soon after their bodies were in covered in vines. I walk casually to interrogate the hounds’ man.
That was my undoing. In just a blink of an eye, he was instantly behind me. Rush me with a dagger and I barely dodged.
The wine which covered him a few seconds ago were now covering a statue of him instead. The same happened with his dog, Which I could no longer see anywhere. Then I saw a shadow from above. It was the dog rushing at me with its fangs. It successfully bit me with its venomous mouth. He knew that it was venomous because it burned my skin and toxic fumes erupted from the burned area.
It appeared that I underestimated them and their capabilities. These people were not to be messed with.
He decided if I should turn into a werewolf or keep my human form. If I decided to turn into a werewolf, I wouldn't be able to cast magic, but then if I'm in human form then I wouldn't be able to keep up with their speed and power.
I notice the man taking out something from his pocket. I recognize it as an anti-magic amulet. It looked like I had no choice but to turn into a werewolf, but it appeared that it might be a trap. Maybe purposely trying to get me to turn into my werewolf form and do some trick. For now, I have no choice but to turn. It was my only way of survival.
A few ages ago, when the werewolves just only discovered their powers, they could only turn during the full moon. But as years passed, many wolves discovered a way to turn into their wolf form. We only needed to access our emotions and focus on them. We let them pull our wool form from us Just like the moon did.
And I did just that. My body started to change. My muscles grew bigger and my skin grew fur. It was colored silver just like most of the Hatiric wolves. And just like the other members of the Hati clan, I was bigger than most werewolves. My fans were bigger than his daggers, and so were my claws.
I rushed at the man and he suddenly casted a protection spell. An invisible barrier appeared between us. I pounded on the magical shield, But to no avail.
Suddenly his dog started attacking me. Me in the leg, but I quickly threw it off. I fought back in beat it in the head tearing it off. Now his dog was dead, maybe he would be forced to fight me alone. I was wrong. Instead he summoned another monster. But it wasn't another dog. Memories from my past flooded my mind. The terror that haunted my past stood before me again.
It was none other than a Glorandola beast. Although it appears smaller than the one I saw when I was a kid. Although I wouldn't say that it was less scarier, it still had its scary face and it's terrible body.
It also held a double bladed battle axe pointed at me. It rushed at me with its weapon And I stepped to the side. I beat up its hand, but it grew back to its previous form. Then it melted and instead turned into a blade. Now weilded a battle axe in a large sword.
Then suddenly an idea came to my mind. I taunted the beast to come at me, and it followed. I run around and it kept chasing me and then I suddenly rushed into the protection barrier. I leaped at the last moment before hitting the barrier while the beast ran straight into the it without looking. With the force of the impact the barrier finally fell down, also knocking out the beast.
Before the man can summon another creature again, I rushed at him and beat his leg off. And I ain’t talking s**t, it literally tastes like eggs stored in the stockroom for decades. Like did they decide to go for a swim in a mountain of garbage first before going and meeting me here? I felt like the taste would kill me first before his magis does.
He screamed in pain and tried to cast magic to heal his leg, but I stopped him.
“Who sent you?” I demanded.
He just smiled at me. At first I was confused, then he pulled up his shirt revealing some sort of tattoo on his stomach. I realized that it was one of those runes for self-destructing, the ones that explode and make sure the enemies die as well. I thought it was the end for me when suddenly I was far away from the explosion.
I opened my eyes and saw the image of aunt Rosa before me.
“You still have a lot to learn, young lady.” She said with a hint of disappointment in her voice without turning to look at me.
I look over where the explosion occurred. A large crater appeared in the road. Several houses were also damaged from the explosion. Looking at the power of the explosion, I was sure that I would have died if it weren't for aunt Rosa.
“Follow me quickly,” aunt Rosa told me.
