CHAPTER 03

Klarissa turned her car in a black gate that automatically slide open. The driveway was a little inclined upwards and then a curvy turn to the right and I could see a huge house in full view and my jaw dropped on my lap. "This is your small house!?" I exclaimed and she was just silent. I didn't know she was rich because the only thing that looked rich in her was her car. "Are you kidding me?" She parked in an empty but huge garage and turned the engine off. I was still amazed when Klarissa went out and knocked on the window and motioned her hand to get my sweet ass out of the car. I went out and she dragged me out of the garage by a door connected inside the house and I was amazed how nice the inside was. Everything was shiny and clean and expensive. "You're really a princess." I said and she chuckled. "Just remember what I said. Don't go out without me." She said and lead me to their kitchen. I didn't understand why but I just nodded my head. Is there a ghost there? Or maybe she's afraid I might get lost because of how huge her house was. I still don't understand why she didn't want to bring anyone there. She was so f*****g humble. "Feel at home." She said as she opened the huge French door fridge and grabbed a box of milk and closed it then she grabbed two glasses. "We don't have water because someone's too lazy to restock or maybe you want to drink tap water." She said. "It's okay." She reached for the hanging cabinet and searched from all of the dry foods inside. She grabbed two cups of noddles and placed it on the table. "You know I don't know how to cook so lets have noodle." She said. "I'm not complaining at all." I said and helped her with heating the water. I used tap water and we took a few minutes just figuring out how to use their touchscreen stove. "This is insane." I chuckled. "You didn't tell me you live in a castle. Where's you parents by the way?" I asked while we were waiting for the water to boil. "They're not home until seven." She said and I nodded while still scanning the kitchen. Everything was amazing. I couldn't even describe it. We ate our noodles and went straight to her bedroom which was upstairs and the first room. Her wallpaper was blue and I wasn't surprised because she like that color and everything was clean in her room unlike mine. It was disturbing because I wast used to it. She had a study table at the right, huge bed, then drawers with the mirror and then closet that extends up to the other end of the wall. She gave me a new toothbrush and a pair of pajamas and she loves loose shirts but I knew it wasn't her shirt that she handed me because it didn't smell like her. It gave off a manly scent. "Is this your father's shirt?" I asked. "That's mine, ass." She said and I chuckled. I didn't want to argue with her even though I knew it wasn't hers because I felt so tired I just wanted to jump at the bed and sleep like dead. After I was done with my night routine, I jumped with her on the bed making it bounced and there was still plenty of room for just the two of us. "So, let's talk about it." She said as she sat and I frowned. "Talk about what?" I asked but I knew what she was referring to. I wasn't ready to let it fully sink in my head yet. "Marvin and your cool off thing." She said and my face suddenly went stiff and I couldn't control it even though I wanted to smile and let her see that I wasn't affected but I couldn't move my lips to do it. "I don't understand why he had to do it." I said and Klarissa pulled me closer to her and hugged me. I thought I poured everything out but I started crying again as she rubbed my back with her hands while I was saying nonsense things. "I don't know what to do in my life anymore. Who will call me and wake me up early. He even went to the house early just to wake me up if I refuse to wake up. He even dressed me. He drives me to school. He buys me lunch. He makes me laugh. He's fun to be with. He's good in bed. He drives me wild—" "Okay. Okay." She shushed and pulled me down with her on the bed. "You cry it all out, baby." She said and I did. I cried for hours, maybe. I wasn't counting the time and Klarissa held me so tight. ** I woke up feeling my throat dry, as dry as a desert and it felt like a cactus was stuck on my throat. I glanced at Klarissa who was clinging at me and I wrapped my arm around her also. She must have been so tired for staying late, listening and comforting me. I never cried so hard in my life until that night and I felt a little light and thirsty too. I glanced at Klarissa who was still sleeping soundly and I remembered about her saying I shouldn't get out of her room without her with me but I was so freaking thirsty. I slipped out from her arm and leg slowly, trying not to wake her up and slide out of the bed. So much about what Klarissa said. I would really be quick. I went out of her room quietly and walked cautiously down stairs. I forgot to check the time but I was sure it was still early in the morning. Maybe ten and the house was still quiet, so quiet it was creeping me out. I walked to the kitchen and I was surprised to see a lot of bottled water on the counter. Someone already bought drinking water, finally. Klarissa would be so happy and they wouldn't notice if I snatch one and run upstairs, right? I was about to grab a bottle but I froze when I felt something sharp was poking my side and I could feel someone was behind me and I could also hear the sound of that someone's breathing because if how quiet the place was. I started praying for my life because I felt like that someone was going to stab me to my death. Was it the reason why Klarissa didn't want me to go out without her? There's a psycho on lose? "Why are you wearing my shirt?" Someone said from behind me and I could smell him. He was fresh from bath and he smelled the same as the shirt I was wearing. Oh, God help me! ******
