Didi's numb body jerks violently as she-through force of will and utter despair-seizes control of herself and throws her last scrap of strength against the cruel plasstraps holding her down. Alfred seems unaffected by her sudden reclamation of motion, watching her fight with detached indifference that only feeds Didi's need to escape. He doesn't care what he's doing, who he hurts.
