After school, they returned to the hideout which was now a place they would go to after eating to feed their physical body. They would onwards hunt their territory and feed on the games that relentlessly procreate for their hunting purposes. According to Schinx, they left out the young ones and would allow them to grow.
After the hunt and a lecture period from Schinx, they separated to their section and just before they slept, Schinx called on Rebecca and the two left the pit. Aiden wondered what private coaching that was about to be given to Rebecca and ended up believing that she needed it. She was weak. He walked up to Luke who was practising punches on the rocks and he stood beside him. When Luke noticed, he paused and turned to face him.
"Hi," Aiden said.
"Hey," he replied.
"How has it been?" Aiden asked and relaxed on the rocks, opposite Luke.
"Less than the way it has been for you. It's strange, but I'm containing it. Unlike you," Luke said and drew his lips inward. "Looks like you knew this would happen. Like you were expecting it."
"How?"
"You found the tress, you called us to it. When we found Mr Woodwell you insisted on following, then we followed. You wanted a cult, now all things fell in place and you now have a pack. See, it's different for both of us," Luke said.
Aiden looked on sensed no change in Luke. He had been rebellious from the start and since emotions would be intensified according to Schinx, Aiden was not surprised. "Schinx said we were fated to be here. When I received the call, I couldn't repel the pull. When I told you about it, you all acceded. When I brought plans about the cult, it was accepted because you all, each and every one of you is fated to be here."
"So that you could lead, isn't it? You've always wanted to. I see it in your eyes. You love to order, you love to stand and talk. Tell me Aiden, what have you brought that we had rejected? Nothing, we follow you everywhere like we are dogs…"
Aiden punched him so hard that he bled and Luke raised his eyes. All golden and sparkling. He fanged up and exposed his claws. As he hurled himself against Aiden, he opened his eyes and he could see the ceiling. He remembered watching Schinx and Rebecca left the pit and could heard Luke punching the rock. He had planned to meet Luke and had slept in the process. Luke had stopped, he also heard Schinx snoring in the cavity that he loved to nap and Aiden walked to the passage. He called out Ix. She told of the darkness she was seeing in her sleep and it's depiction in her feelings at daytime. Aiden could not argue, he was having the same feeling. Again, he hoped on to see what the future held.
The next day opened to have Rebecca confronted by three more. They spoke of a missing member and implied that they were told of his plans to meet Rebecca the earlier day. While the confrontation was up Aiden showed up and challenged them to the beach at recess. Aiden ensured that he acted human when her was shoved to the wall.
Next, he informed the pack on what they were up against and they got ready.
At recess, they all walked to the beach and Aiden walked before them all. Their cover is about to be blown and he hoped that it hadn't blown yet. He was sure that the confrontation was because James was in a vampire group and that they had marked thier victims. Taking them all out would not end up, it will start some more when the vampire stronghold in the school begin to note the disappearance of its members.
"We're to wipe them all out. No survivors. They might try to escape once they known what we are and we should prevent this. I spoke to James brother and acted human. To him and his cohorts, they are about to have a feast and we should give them what they want," Aiden said as they approached the pitch.
He paused and the pack did the same. "There is someone there," Aiden said and he huffed. "It's Jojo Jackson," the chef's daughter."
"So? What do we care? They threatened one of our own," Luke said and would continue to walk on towards them.
"I do not think she's with them. She might be a hostage," responded.
"Oh my God. What do we do?" Ix stated her concern.
"First, we find out. If she's among, we kill them all. If she's not, then we stand the chance of getting our cover blown if we fight them," Aiden responded.
"There is only one way to find out," as Luke said, Aiden progressed and they followed.
The pack met face to face with the vampire group and stopped. Aiden before them all. He looked at Jojo's face and saw tears on it. He had no choice than to wipe them out should the peace treaty to get Jojo out of it failed to work.
"Aiden. You're here," Jeremy, James older brother said and stepped forward. As he walked towards Aiden, he could tell that he was struggling to contain his blood thirst as the evil in him forced itself out. James eyes turned red and fangs propelled out of his teeth. Jeremy then took some steps backwards and stayed among his friends.
"James has been missing since he last saw Rebecca," Jeremy finally spoke.
"What has she got to do with this?" Aiden asked and pointed to Jojo. At his voice, Jojo cried and on of the army with Jeremy placed his hands on her shoulder.
"That is not your concern. Ask Rebecca where James is and I'll tell you what Jojo is here for. Oh, do you care for her? Are you the new hero of Holmes and Clyde's? You know, I have been looking at you all. The way you gather and walked together. I see you're forming a team but your not formidable. I repeat, before I make her vanish as you supposedly did to my brother who might be in Jojo's daddy's custody. Do you know how about it?" Jeremy spoke.
"I don't know where he is. Also, I'm sure you know James can't be kept in a police custody," Aiden said.
"He knows. Kill them all," one Dwight said, and they all charged at Aiden and the pack.
"Spread out," Aiden ordered. "Contain them in the circle," he said and the part circled around them.
Jeremy want towards Aiden and when Aiden reaveled his anger laced in his red alpha eyes, Jeremy paused and looked around. Jojo was riveted on the spot and she bent to held her head as she screamed.
"Bring it on," Aiden said.
There were clashes, and thuds, and slaps, and blows landed. Each member had on on thier hands, but Jeremy pulled Dwight and they were two on Aiden. Aiden looked behind them and saw that JJ had taken out one and was on other in their game. Rebecca was different at her approach too. Aiden watched as she leapt to the sky and landed on her opponent, she was trying to rip out his head while he was fighting back. He was sure that they would win the number game and it all would be over soon. Ix was doing fine with her opponent and she had turned after being shoved to the soil. She landed a bite. He also knew what Luke would be fine. All safe, he focused on the handicap match before him and snared.
They snared too. Aiden zoomed across and attacked Dwight from the back. He ensure that the kick was hard enough to rupture his spine and that he would have more time to deal with Jeremy. Dwight flew off into ten metres. Jeremy took a sudden turn and he and Aiden participated in a tussle. Aiden won and after angrily shoving him backwards, he performed a flip and landed on Jeremys back. Jeremy turned again and headbutted Aiden. Aiden didnt leg go. He aimed at another and just before he landed the second hit of his head, he sank to the floor when the bones of his legs were crushed by Aiden's kick. Next, Aiden broke out Jeremy's right arm and use it to slap him repeatedly.
As Jeremy gasped, Aiden held Jeremy's head and spoke, "We killed your brother just this way. You'd be reunited with him soon," Aiden said and took the hardest hit with a swing of Jeremy's cut out hand. Jeremy dissolved into crystal. Signalling his death. "Where's Dwight?" Aiden asked and none saw him. "Damn," he said. "Keep Jojo in our custody, I'll go look for Dwight."
"I'll go with you," Ix said and Aiden nodded. Together, they followed the scent on the track that Dwight followed to HeartMill, the city nearest to the beach.
