Two days following my park visit, and I ended up on Larkin Street. One can get lost there because of all its businesses. Cupcakes, a bakery. The ‘Tiques, a collection of antique stores. A bookstore called Turn the Page Books; not one of my favorites, but others raved about it, loving the shop. There was the art supply store called Crafty Painter, and the floral shop. So much to look at. So much to buy. A good way to burn half a day. A tourist’s delight when traveling to, or through, Templeton. Again, I returned to The Octopus. Eight wrought-iron tables and two chairs each decorated the sidewalk. I wasn’t a stranger to its many levels of around-the-world coffees. Solace could be found there, and I took advantage of that.
