At age 25, Guilherme decided to do something meaningful in Sam's memory. He used part of his fortune to build the "Samara Mandela Orphanage", a place where children without families could find love, care and opportunities. The orphanage became a sanctuary of hope, where Guilherme often spent his free time, inspiring and caring for children.
During a visit to the orphanage, Guilherme met a girl named Alice, who immediately captured his heart. He decided to adopt her and changed her name to Samie, in honor of Sam. Samie brought a new meaning to Guilherme's life, filling the spaces that were previously occupied by the pain of Sam's loss with love and laughter.
With Samie by his side, Guilherme found new joy in life. He continued to shine on the football field, but his most precious moments were those spent with his daughter. He taught Samie about football, about life, and most importantly, about the love he and Sam shared. Samie grew up hearing stories about her adoptive mother and the eternal love that united her parents.
At 33 years old, Guilherme found a new way to honor Sam. He bought a large plot of land near the orphanage and planted a garden of tulips, Sam's favorite flowers. He and Samie spent many days tending to the flowers, creating a space of peace and remembrance. The garden became a special place where father and daughter could connect with memories of Sam.
