Adele walked through the shadows, momentary relief washed across his mind. Or rather than that, it was a soothing feeling, one that reminded that he had a role to play here. And if he did fail that role, the system would not be hesitant to dispose of him.  Which was why he had to put away all the thoughts that had been troubling him. Lock away the thoughts of ever returning home to his family if he was ever going to survive this meeting with the members of the Inner Consort.  It was how he had been surviving. And he intended to keep it that way. The ones who could not separate the activity and affairs of this reality from Earth often ended up dying easily and worthlessly. Like the thrash that they were. He was not about to go down that line because he allowed himself to feel once more.
