Though the night be tough,
And the way be hard,
The world awaits, for you to rise.
For in the darkest hours are champions ablaze.
And when we stand together, victory lies in wait.

It may have hit strong.
Might have knocked us cold.
Yet, with hands clasped, we climb.
Stepping gallantly with victory embedded in our footsteps.

That year was hard and so the months in it,
But we picked the pieces and marched to places.
It came, wickedly to break us to broken bits,
But never did it know, our souls were refined by it.

Now, we step into the newness of a new year,
A whole empty sheet of several days to write.
