6. Must She Celebrate?

"Arrogant... He's so arrogant!" Aishia murmured, gritting her teeth. The way that third prince looked at her seemed like she was belittled by him. Aishia couldn't accept that. She hated when someone looked down on her as if she was just a pest that could never become a butterfly. To release the frustration she felt whenever she thought of Leonidas, she used her spear to dwell on it. She really wanted to use a sword but she realized that she couldn't be a match with Leonidas if she used a sword as well. It was absurd. I can dwell on the sword but I cannot be as perfect as Felix. She was frustrated as she wanted to hone her skills in swords. But she was just courting death. Felix was granted the strongest knight because he could handle his weapon perfectly and skillfully. Aishia thought if Leonidas's sword skills matched with Felix, then she had no chance for it. But then, something intrigued her that until now, she wondered how did that happen. How did he know that sword technique only Felix could do? She was referring to the sword technique, Infernus of Hephaestus that was mastered by Felix as he was well-known for it. Felix already died right before her eyes but how could that bastard prince be able to do that? That was why she couldn't accept his title. Even if he has the blood of imperial lycan, she wouldn't let things slide when it comes to the rare sword technique from Felix. What enraged her was when she researched the history of Felix's sword technique only to find out that it was erased from history. Galafe... You simply erased the existence of Felix... You surely are a bastard... She held the wooden shaft of the spear tightly, releasing the annoyance she felt. As soon as she was done, she returned to her respective large tent where they had to sleep all together regardless of whether it was a man or a woman. She had a water break to go to the nearby lake called Dragonfly Lake where a sea of dragonflies was covering the whole area of the lake every afternoon. It was still noon so Aishia couldn't spot any dragonflies yet. She washed her face like her usual routine after training and honing her spear skills with the help of a spear mentor granted by one of the princes. Aishia never wanted to know whose prince had sent him. All she wanted was to keep practicing and practicing until she managed to do it properly. She could use Asperse Grimoire to learn from it by using her staff she kept there underneath her book but she needs to go to a blacksmith to dress her staff as a magical spear. She already had the materials for that and all she needed was to send it to the blacksmith. She handed out her hand and was about to utter the name of her grimoire when she heard a rustling sound coming from the tall grass near the lake. She became alert as she came to spot the third prince who had just come out from it, looking at her intently. Aishia eyed him up and down, dressing in his training uniform with a menacing aura surrounding him. If she had a wolf inside her, she would have been shuddering under his intense, frigid gaze. All she felt right now was irritation and abomination towards this third prince. "Cerise Blueth." The way Leonidas mentioned this body's name she was in made her compose herself. "Leonidas Oriana." Leonidas scoffed. Aishia thought that the prince found her rude for only addressing him in his name, not Your Highness. She didn't mind if that was how the prince thought of her. "You have come here because?" Ah, yes. I am so rude. I like this more. He stepped forward and halted before her. Then he knelt before him so their faces would be even. "You are from the village named Everlyn, correct?" Aishia arched her eyebrow. "I am. And?" she asked in a hostile tone. I think I know where this was going. She thought. Leonidas leaned forward, meeting her dark brown eyes. "I am very sure you knew about the news that came from your village before you left." "You mean those people who had a sudden illness and had a fatal death?" she asked innocently, faking a little surprise. But on her inside, she was already smiling from ear to ear. All she needed to do was to pretend that it worried her. Aishia held her breath when Leonidas held her chin. Then there was a sly, cold smile on his lips. "It was a massive plague. I already know the victims," he said, not answering her question. Aishia blinked. "Must I worry about this? My mother is there." "All the victims are connected to you, Blueth. Those victims were the ones who ridiculed you," he said. Very straightforward, she said. This prince... This uncanny feeling Aishia felt that this prince concluded something that was already related to her. I believe I had been careful. Wait... I had been careless perhaps? "So? Should I mourn their death or are you expecting me to celebrate?" Aishia asked with a smile, not an ounce of worry smeared across her face.  A deep short chuckle was released from Leonidas as he stood up. "I am expecting the latter." He c****d his head from side to side, releasing a cracking bone sound before he turned his back on her to leave. "But you looked suspicious to me," he said coldly and glanced at her over his shoulder. Aishia smiled sweetly. "My, my. Must I be flattered that the third prince has his interest in me? Isn't that romantic?" she said mockingly. But she wanted to puke right now as she didn't want to say those words but she just wanted to see if the prince would express annoyance at her. And Aishia won from that seeing his scowling face. "It has been a week since that happened but you seemed that you cannot forget me, Your Highness." She smirked. "Are you threatening that I will steal your title from you?" More. Mock him more, Aishia.  Leonidas lifted his upper lip to smirk. "It's not new that someone like you had dared to steal my title." Aishia clenched her hands, still plastering a half-sweet smile on her lips. "You seemed so arrogant." He didn't say anything but instead, he started to walk away from her leaving her fully annoyed at him. She hissed silently. "I should have confronted him about the sword technique..." She pinched herself for not doing it earlier. "Damn it, Aishia!"
