Alice POV
Alex gets off the phone with Star and begins weaving through traffic faster.
My body doesn’t feel like mine as I stare out the side window, watching cars whiz by. The random thoughts in my head feel overwhelming, and my adrenaline is pumping.
”Tell me what you're thinking, Alice,” Alex says.
I laugh because where do I start? So, I begin rambling.
”I never felt any love for our mother, but with what Lucy told us she went through, I don't know how to feel other than angry at him. We find out we have a father who never knew about us, a man we will confront about being our father. He came here to threaten what I love, if he doesn't stop I will destroy him and all he cares about,” I shake my head and grip the file tighter.
