Fey woke to the faint sound of birdsong drifting through the open window. The morning sunlight poured into her room, casting warm streaks across the polished wood floors. The Pack house felt deceptively peaceful. Outside, the dense woods swayed in the breeze, their fiery autumn hues painting the world in shades of red and gold.
