Act 4 scene 2

Around 9pm Josh,and max are sitting at the living room chatting........kendal is sitting at a corner drawing some pictures on canvasses,when Selena walks in and kendal walks up to her

Kendal: Aunt Selena... you're back,how is aunt lilly now is she still angry?, uncle max told me that she was angry

Selena:(she throws a glance at max who quickly turns away then looks back at kendal)shes all better ( she rubs her head)

Josh: what's up Mrs Bayer ( ue walks up to her with a teasing smile)

Selena: hey josh( she rolls her eyes and heads to the stairs) did Rachel call the home line

Josh:yeah she called to remind you of the dates for the Dior stuff...but i told her you weren't home

Selena:okay( she starts walking upstairs)

Josh:(he smirks at kendal) i also told her to clear you up on Friday,for my step father's launch that i told you about remember?

Selena:(she turns back at them) oh yeah that i totally forgot,but it's fine .. thanks for reminding her

Kendal:aunt Selena, uncle max says there's going to be a lot of snacks and food can i please come

Selena:well i don't know darling,why don't you ask josh or max I'm just going there on invite ( josh smirks)

Kendal:uncle josh said he'll let me come if you're okay with it ( she smiles innocently at Selena and josh's eyes widen)

Selena: really ( she looks a little surprised)

Josh:i don't remember saying that

Kendal: don't you? When you're assistant finished your paperwork you told him to cancel your meetings for Friday because of the launch ,i asked you if i could come and you said you don't know if aunt Selena would want me moving around,then uncle max suggested that we ask her( max hides his shock) you said i could if she agreed

Josh:( he looks at Selena) that never happened

Selena:come on josh you don't have to be so modest i know you don't want people thinking you love kids so you want to make it my decision....... it's alright.....kendal we'll go dress shopping tomorrow okay?( Kendal nods) okay i gotta take a shower,i feel so sticky ( she goes upstairs and kendal turns to josh with a smirk)

Max:looks like you lost big guy

Josh:i didn't..i can tell Selena that you're not going... period!( He leans in to kendal speaking word by word)

Kendal:(she doesn't shake) then lets cak her back then( she turns upstairs to yell Selena's name but josh quickly grabs her to the couch and urges her to keep quiet) when we go shopping tomorrow, I'll remind aunt Selena to buy bowling shoes( she giggles then runs out)

Max:i haven't seen the girl give a full smile let alone smile since she came here,you must really be a clown ( he sits down)

Josh: I'm going to the gym( he angrily grabs his car keys)

Max:you can't work out the loss( he laughs as josh leaves)

The next day Selena and kendal go to a boutique to get thier clothes....they watch a movie afterwards,get some food and pass by the park...then finally around 8 they arrive home and josh was at the dining table eating macaroni and beef with water

Selena:(they walk up to him) hey what's up

Kendal: uncle Josh we got you something.....

Selena;shhhhhhh( she covers kendals mouth from behind)

Josh: what is it ( he looks suspicious)

Selena:its a surprise....come on kendal..lets go freshen up( they go upstairs)

Friday afternoon by 12pm Rachel and Nicky are in Selenas room fixing her up , Selena is wearing a seagreen slim dress ,it goes down all the way to her legs covering her feel but the slim slit on her left side goes up exposing a little of her thigh,the dress is sleeveless with slim long gloves and a scarf to match it up her hair is let down and almost covering her brown eyes , with a silver stiletto

Nicky: look very beautiful Selena,are you sure you're just going for the party( she says working on Selenas makeup)

Selena:no I'm going to seduce my 47 years old uncle,who is hosting the show

Nicky: he's only 47, he does look younger

Rachel:take away the money and see how young he'll look

Nicky: exactly....... money

Selena:uuuuhhhhh shut up ( they laugh and josh walks in and stares stunned at Selena)so i look good

Josh:you always look good ( he winks and she smiles) anyway thanks for the gift ( he flexes the tuxedo he's wearing,that matches Selena's dress)

Selena: anytime ( she smiles mischievously)

Josh:max said to let my hair fall, should I

Selena:no

Josh:why not

Selena:cause my hair is falling

Josh:well we already got matching outfits,we might at least just finish it( just as he finishes the sentence kendal walks in with a dress that looks exactly like Selenas,same shoes,same hair style)

Kendal:how do i look uncle Josh ( she smiles)

Selena: isn't she cute( she looks at josh with amusement)

Josh:no .....no .....no ..fucking way is she wearing that( he says almost in frustration)

Kendal:why not

Selena:yeah josh,why not( she smiles innocently)

Josh:kendal go take it off

Selena:no

Josh:fine then I'll change

Selena: change then I'll stay home

Josh:what is this ..... family outfits? Im not doing that ( he squints his face)

Selena:fine then i won't go

Josh:( he rubs his head) whatever ( he walks out)

Kendal: will he change outfits

Selena:he wouldn't dare ,he wants me to go ,..... up top ( they laugh and high five)

Kendal: hi I'm kendal( she waves at Rachel and Nicky)

Rachel:you must be todds daughter right?( Kendal nods)

Nicky: you're a dirty little girl .... joining Selena to break rules huh( she chuckles and continues with the make up)

Kendal: aunt Selena will i ger to do make up too

Selena: why'd you want make up,you look beautiful

Kendal:i want to look prettier

Selena: okay just a little

The limousine pulls up in front of a very fancy building,big building,right in front of the red carpet Selena,josh and kendal step down and all the attention and media turn to them as they walk in,and people murmur,they walk over to the round table up front where max,brenda, josh's mother and Selenas mother are sitting)

Max:(he notices them and stands up)whats this,you guys look like the cutest family ever( he laughs)

Josh: shut up ( he walks up to his mom and greets her before coming to his seat )

Selena:( she walks up to her mother ) mum ive missed you( they hug before Selena takes a seat in between josh and kendal)

May:so whos the little angel

Jessica: don't tell me you guys adopted( the two parents face each other)

Josh: come on mom ,no

Selena :this is kendal,a friend's daughter

May:must be a pretty close friend

Jessica:Well it's good that you get josh to hang around with kids so that he van stop saying all of that trash about not wanting kids(Stephen cruise, Max's father gets on the stage)

Stephen:can i have everyones attention please, we're about to start......first off i want to thank everyone for coming today to witness the launch of our new branch company......Goldbox investment company as some of you know has been my dream since high school... mostly because I'm a lazy person and i don't want to much work ( everybody laughs) growing up I'd rather eat little out than eat a lot at home and wash the dishes ( he chuckles) but being serious tho,its not as easy as i make it sound, but there's a saying that goes when you're doing what you love,you do it with your heart,and i love what I'm doing,( he gives a pause) dammit i was supposed to give a pretty long speech before we cut the ribbon and get to the rest of the agenda but i guess I'm to lazy to do that either( they laugh ) so without anymore boring talk I'd like to invite my partners who have restlessly worked with me hand in hand to join me as we cut the ribbon ( he starts calling them out)

Josh;no drinking today( he turns to Selena)

Selena:you don't control me

Josh:suit yourself.....but don't forget we sleep in the same room.....on the same bed.......and i wouldn't hold back this time ( he smirks)

Selena: p*****t ( she rolls her eyes)

Just after the ribbon is cut everyone moves into the next uall which is bigger than the last but has no chairs ,only the tables holding the food and drinks, people move around and socialize....... Selena walks around alone she looks to a corner and sees josh talking to one of the partners of the company and kendal is sitting at the table in he other room eating with their moms....brenda walks up to Selena

Brenda:hey pretty

Selena:hey... I can't help thinking that I'm being watched

Brenda:have you looked in the mirror,you look hot ?,of course you're being watched

Selena:oh please, that's not what I meant ( just as she finishes the sentence someone grabs her hand pulling her...........
