I think I knew in the back of my mind that eventually, the day would come that I'd see the tension between CJ and Russ come to a head and the results wouldn't be pretty.
Bringing both the Malone brothers out with us tonight was a stupid idea. An unavoidable one, but stupid nonetheless. Once the alcohol started flowing and everyone loosened up, we let our guards down. More importantly, I let my guard down.
My first mistake tonight was allowing Russ to drink knowing how destructive he becomes. He cut himself off after three shots, but it was already too late.
My second mistake was allowing CJ to get close enough to me to manipulate a situation.
My third and final mistake was letting Russ leave.
Alone.
As I sit on the curb outside the bar, I ask myself over and over how
