“If you’re not here about the bike, then why are you here?” Alex asked after closing the door behind me. Did he really not know I was at his house for s*x, or did he just want me to tell him that’s why I’d shown up at his doorstep? “I wanted to see you again,” I admitted. “You could have called first or texted. You have my number.” I had considered calling first, but I was afraid he’d miss the call and we’d end up playing phone tag for days or, even worse, that he’d ignore my call.
