Too tired to explain anymore I roll into bed with Gerald, He yanks me over and onto his chest, his scent and heartbeat lulls me to sleep almost immediately.

The next evening we say an emotional goodbye to the kids. Hunter did not like us leaving him but he understood why we had no other choice, we had to stop these monsters, I had to free the souls.

I smile pulling him in for a hug, Gerald wraps his arms around both of us
“Listen to Mike and Penny, stay with the kids and no pranks on your pregnant aunty it really wouldn’t be fair”
“Ok, only pranks on those who are not pregnant, got it”
Gerald pulls back shaking his head
