Bothered

COLTON She was too beautiful. Too beautiful for comfort. Why the agency had chosen to send a woman like her, was beyond me, but a deal was a deal. I mean, I didn't care the gender, just someone who would be able to do their freaking job. What I didn't need, was the one who would make my c**k harder, in Sarah's p***y, just by looking at her touch herself. The image of Avery Knight, flushed, with her hand on her n****e, while her thighs were pressed together, clearly aroused by watching me, was forever going to be imprinted in my mind. I could ask her to go back, ask the agency to send a replacement. But I didn't want to. The statement of her being spread over the table had come from a deep reasoning of lust. I had control. Could control myself. My last question though, while serious as hell, was a test. I needed to see just how shaken, Avery Knight could get. "You seem a bit tense, Colton. Something on your mind?" Julian's deep voice was the last thing I needed to hear at the moment, especially when I was still contemplating on running after Avery or not. Yes. She had run. Full speed. And I had just sat there, and let her, even if I wanted to lock those doors and demand an immediate answer from her. I shook my head. "Yes." I answered, eyeing my brother who had walked in a few minutes after Avery had left, pretty much putting a halt to whatever action I would have taken earlier. "A spot has opened for a new member in the club, since that bastard, Ethan got kicked out, and whilst I have a few candidates myself, I would like everyone's opinion. Even yours." As head of the Kingston club, it was in my place to decide who got in next, but for the past five years since I had held the position which was passed down to me by my father, I had left if free and fair. And it was free and fair that got us in the trouble we were, with Ethan Black in the first place. Julian raised a thick brow. "I want to suggest we continue, but this time, with more discretion." Julian was five years younger than I was, but it was almost difficult to tell us apart. We could literally pass as twins. I narrowed my eyes at him and c****d my head to the side. "How do you mean?" I did have an inkling of what he was saying, but needed to hear more. Julian shrugged. "I'm saying we keep it free and fair, but make sure to sweep every single candidate. That way, we keep the freedom of knowing anyone eligible could join, and we get to be extra careful this time and leave no room for mistakes." I let his words sink in. "In other words, you will be in charge of that." I said after a while, a smile curling my lips as Julian's obvious discomfort. As much as my brother loved to chip in ideas about the club, it was hard to pull him away from his company, into the matters of the club. Heck as far as Julian was concerned, he was a in-the-shadow member. Spoke when he needed to. His baby, as he called it, was the huge security enterprise he had spent the past four years since leaving college, building. "Just say you need the services of my company, Colton, and we would deliver." He rolled his eyes, finally settling into the seat in front of me. I snorted. "It's not like you have a choice." I drawled, suddenly needing a drink as Avery Knight's face flashed in the back of my mind. All thoughts of the Kingston Club and it's troubles suddenly seemed small, compared to the new executive assistant, who was yet to sign her contract. The same contract my ever nosy brother was now lifting from the table with a frown on his face. I had purposely said nothing about Avery since he walked back into the study. Heck, he had met her long enough for them to be seated in the office together. The image of them so close to each other when the door had opened had taken me a moment to be erased from my mind. "Don't even think about it." Julian hissed, pulling the paper out of my reach as I made for it. I growled, leaning back on my seat as I waited for the questions to come. And they did. "Is there a reason why you are asking for another executive assistant? And a woman? From the same company? Heck, we had to get rid of the last one, after she pretty much had you wrapped around her finger!" I took in my brother's expression, and noted just how closed off it was, despite his words Hmm... "I don't know why you are asking the first question, considering you know I need one, desperately." I said wryly, then leaned forward and swiped the contract off his hand. "And I didn't know they were going to send a female. the company is trying to do damage control, and I accepted." I peeked at Avery's name and felt a tightening sensation in my groin, and shifted uncontrollably. Julian looked like he didn't believe me. The frown on his forehead deepened with each word that left my mouth. "And, I do have a policy of not sleeping with my staff, which I intend to keep." The tightening in my groin increased, mocking me. "The thing with the last assistant was a mistake I am not going to repeat." I had been drunk. And careless. And then more. And things had just gone out of control after that. Oh, I wasn't ever going to make a mistake like that again. That I was sure of. Avery Knight, even if she did come back, wasn't going to last two days with me. I was pretty sure I wasn't going to see her after she had left my office. No sane woman would get into anything with me, especially after getting a glimpse of what she had seen earlier. But a part of me longed to see how far the innocent Miss Knight could go? Seeing her standing there had done so many things to my insides. Julian cleared his throat, and I focused my gaze on him to see him giving me a pointed look. "You want her." My throat tightened, more at the heaviness behind the words, than the words themselves. I hadn't come to that conclusion yet. I shook my head slowly, almost wincing at my own denial. "Like I said, I do not mess with my staff and do not intend to." I managed a careless shrug. My stepbrother nodded, then stood from his seat. "She seemed interesting," He stated, rounding the table, while I sat there, still as a board. "Very interesting. And flushed." He stopped just behind my sit, his warmth radiating from behind me, and hitting the back of my neck. "Yeah. She looks like she can handle the job, Julian." I forced a bored tone, but even a kid could see that I was tense. Strong hands settled on my shoulders, and I stiffled a gasp. "We didn't share the last time." Oh dear... "I didn't like that assistant of yours, and despite my warnings, you still went on with her, and look at where that got us." His hands squeezed my shoulders, rolling the muscles in such a way that left my breath coming out in short gasps. "Where is this going, Julian?" I knew exactly where it was going. The first time it had happened, was in college. Even if I tried, I could never forget it. We had both fallen for the same girl, and while being rivals, could not let her go, for the other. I had been drunk. Julian wasn't. But I had walked in on them in bed, and I had been so mad, that I had ripped my clothes off my body, and joined them. It was safe to say that it had continued, and I didn't have to be drunk. I knew exactly how Julian's c**k felt sliding against mine, and the thought of doing that to Avery.... "I'm saying, if you feel she can handle the job, and you think you can handle another female, then you go ahead." My jaws clenched. "When I entered, you seem to be awfully too close to each other." Of course he had the nerve to laugh. "What? Are you jealous?" The scoff left my lips before he finished the question. "Why would I be jealous? I just want to know what you said to her." His hands left my shoulders, taking his warmth with him. "Oh, I gave her some water. She seemed really thirsty, after she got to watch you upstairs. Really thirsty..." I had seen the water. Oh it was still on the table where she had left it in her haste to leave. But we both knew what he was talking about, and it had nothing to do with the water. I swallowed, the image resurfacing in my mind once again. "Was she?" My voice was a low grunt. Julian stayed quiet for a while. Neither of us moving an inch as I waited for his answer. The sound of the clock ticking was the only sound that could be heard. My shoulders were squared, but nothing prepared me for what he said next. "Yes. Which is why I put a call to the agency already. She's hired." Wait... "What?" “And don’t forget to be on time at the club tonight. Ryan and Zayn apparently have some s**t up their sleeves.” “Wait_” But I may as well be talking to myself because Julian was out the door before I could even muster another word. Fucking son of a_
