“What do you mean, she’s gone? You literally just told me you were here!” I yelled.

“She knows Alpha. As soon as she saw the mansion. It was like something snapped. Aleister was tracking us too. I think he waited until we were here to make sure it was you who took her.” Matt explained.

“I knew as soon as she came through the gate. I felt her presence, she is my mate. I can not harm her coven.

Now she knows too. It’s not the same for vampires. She won’t die without me, It won’t be physically painful for her to not be around me. It’s against Vampire law, blending of the species is forbidden.”

“The moon goddess does not make mistakes. I’m sure their god or goddess doesn’t either. She must be very powerful as well. She is feisty, that’s for sure! She beat the hell out of me on the way here.” Matt laughed.

“I’m sure you deserved it.” I smirked.

“So I guess we just get ready. There will either be a wedding, or a war in the future. We best be ready for either.” I guessed.

Salvatori Manor

“Lila, come to my office please.” I heard my father say.

Oh s**t. I thought as I walked to his office. “Yes father?” I said, peeking around the door.

“I received some bizarre news this morning. I’d like for you and Dorian to take your Mother on a little road trip.” My father started to say.

“Take me where?” My mother said, walking in the room.

“There is a new coven just north of us. The leaders are a young couple with twin baby girls. It’s bizarre to me. I’ve just heard of them. I’d like for you to get some kind of baby gift or something, and go welcome them. We may need some assistance in the future.” Father said.

My mother and I love to shop! “Why is Dorian coming, he isn’t one for shopping.” Mother questioned.

“True, take Sabina.” Father agreed.

“I’ll go get Sabina.” I said, leaving the room.

As I approached Dorian’s wing, I thought about just calling her. I always walk in on, or hear them doing something nasty, It’s repulsive.

I knocked on the door, didn’t hear anything, so I opened the door and yelled Sabina. Nothing. I walked down the hall, making as much noise as possible. Stomping, yelling, banging on the wall here and there. I do not need to see my brothers ass again, or anything else.

“Sabina, where are you? Come on, Father wants us to go somewhere. We get to go shopping!” I yelled.

Then, I heard it. A loud thump, a groan, and a lot of wrestling of clothing, and then Sabina walked out of her room, adjusting her skirt.

“Why me? Why am I always the one to interrupt?” I whined.

“I’m not sure but I wish you’d fuckin stop it!” My brother yelled from the room.

“Come, Father wants us to go buy a baby gift and meet the new coven. They have twin daughters!” I gushed.

“Oh how fun! Let’s go, love you babe!” Sabina yelled.

They’ve always been the mushy type. It’s annoying but kind of cute. Whatever makes them happy.

We all got into my Mothers Mercedes E-Class and headed North. My Mother always has her bodyguard, Simon in tow. He doesn’t leave her side.

We stopped at a darling shop in Coxsackie. We got two of everything we could find for a girl, and headed to the coven.

They are settled in a town called Ravena. Gorgeous modern mansion. We all got out and Simon grabbed our gifts. Mother knocked and an older grouchy looking woman answered the door.

My Mother said, “good afternoon, I am Stella Salvatori. Lady of Salvatori Coven. We are here to welcome you all to the area.”

The older grouchy lady smiled and invited us in. “Allow me to get Alexander and Diana. One moment please”.

We all sat in the den and waited. A very attractive man with dark hair and almost black eyes, and a beautiful woman with curly red hair and dark eyes as well, walked in the room.

They each had a tiny newborn in their arms. “Welcome to Corvel Manor. Thank you so much for coming!” Diana said quietly.

She handed her baby to her husband and crossed the room gracefully. “I am Diana Corvel, this is my husband, Alexander Corvel. Our daughters Abigail and Emma.

Mother spoke before I could, “You have a beautiful family! It’s lovely to meet you. I am Stella Salvatori. This is my daughter Lila, and my daughter in law, Sabina. We stopped along the way and did some shopping. Simon, would you mind bringing the gifts inside?”

“Of course Madam.” Simon said, then stepped out onto the porch.

I quickly said, “We made sure to get two of everything!” Then smiled at Sabina.

Diana looked pleased and asked if it was alright to open them later. We stayed for about an hour. Diana, Sabina, and I played with the babies.

Mother spoke to Alexander about the potential war and asked for his assistance if need be. He of course, agreed to help in anyway.

We invited them to Salvatori Manor the following Friday. Then we made our leave.

Mother turned to the couple and said, “Thank you for your hospitality. You have a beautiful home and a delightful family.”

Diana smiled and replied, “Thank you for the precious gifts for the twins. Also for driving all the way here. We’ll see you in a week.”

We got back into Mothers car and headed home.

Sabina had been awfully quiet but broke her silence once we were on the road. “I was going to wait to have children, but now I really want one, that was really fun.” She said enthusiastically.

“Well, I don’t think you and Dorian will have any trouble. You behave like rabbits anyway, I wouldn’t be surprised if you were pregnant already.” I laughed.

We all agreed. I think everyone has caught them at least once. Their babies will be gorgeous! I can’t wait to be an Auntie!

We pulled up to the manor and went inside, Simon parked Mothers car.

I went straight to the refrigerator in my room and got two bags of AB+. I drank them both, then took a relaxing bath. It was lovely.

I crawled onto my bed and silently asked for no nightmares.

I did have a nightmare. This time, I was chained to a wall in a dark, damp basement.

I had been drugged. My strength was gone, I couldn’t see anything, and all I could smell was blood and mildew.

Something moved next to me, then I heard crying. “Who’s there? Where are you?” I asked the darkness.

“Lila, it’s me, Rana. I’m bleeding really bad, I think I lost my baby!”

I woke up in a panic. I knew Rana was awake, girl never sleeps! I ran to her room and knock. She opened right away.

“Lila, are you ok? What happened?” She asked.

“I had a horrible dream. I just wanted to make sure you are alright.” I tried to say calmly.

She hugged me and said,“I’m fine babe, we were just watching a movie. Want to join us?”

I smiled and said,“No, it’s ok. I was just really worried. That’s the second nightmare in a week and you were in it. I’m not sure what’s going on. I need to go somewhere.”

I got in my car and drove to Alpha Saba’s pack. I sat outside, in my car, outside the gate for a while. I instantly felt a little better. I wonder if he knows I’m here, I thought.

I didn’t stay long. I felt better so I drove home. What am I going to do about this situation. I know it’s going to get incredibly hard for him too. Will he be able to avoid me?

I went to the garden, there’s a white bench under a large oak tree. I sat down under the tree and laid my head on the bench.

I woke up to Sabina tapping my shoulder. “ Lila, what the hell, did you sleep here all night?”

I yawned and stretched, then said, “ Yep I guess so.”

“Nightmares and werewolves are keeping me from a decent sleep. I’m having a moment.” I said as I laid my head back down.

Sabina sat on the bench and said, “Lila, we need to do something about this mate issue. What are your plans. It’s not going to get any better, and it’s not going to go away.”

I looked up at her and said, “I need to see him.” Then laid my head back down.

Sabina patted my head and said, “I’ll help any way I can. We just have to be careful.”

Alpha Saba

“She’s here. Where is she?” I demanded.

“Lawrence said she is just sitting in her car, outside the gate.” Matt explained.

“She needs me too. Should I go to her?” I thought out loud.

“Maybe just watch her for a little while. See what her intentions are. Matt suggested.

I left the pack house, and shifted. I made my way to the edge of the property and sat in the woods next to her car. My goddess, she is beautiful!

This was a bad idea. I got up to leave just as she put the car in gear. She’s leaving. What am I going to do?!
