Be a good girl, and let me see what you’ve got there. How about I trade you for a yummy pastrami on rye?” Sheriff Amy Finley waved her sandwich toward the dog, letting the aroma work its magic. As Ruby wagged her tail approvingly and approached, the sheriff tossed the bribe twenty feet into the weeds and watched with satisfaction as the dog dashed after it.
