The silver-sprouted forest grew with an unnatural speed, its leaves shimmering like hammered metal under the midday sun. Amanda walked through the new groves, the hum of the earth vibrating through her boots. The victory felt complete, but the air held a new, different frequency.

Adam found her by the stream, where the water now ran as clear as liquid diamond. He didn't say a word, but the way he watched the horizon told Amanda he felt it too—a subtle pulling, like an invisible thread tied to their spirits.
"The village is rebuilding," Adam finally said, leaning against a silver-barked tree. "But they’re starting to tell stories. Not about the ashes, but about us."
