“What are the doctors saying?”
“There was bleeding and swelling in the frontal lobe, but they stopped the bleeding and they say the swelling is going down. They feel she’ll regain consciousness when the swelling is reduced completely. They won’t know if there’s any other damage until she wakes but they fear it might have affected her eyesight.”
“You’re a doctor. What do you think?”
“I’m just praying. It will probably be fine. She may have some balance problems for a while, and she will have a scar on her forehead, but she’ll always be beautiful. If it affected her eyes, she might need glasses. They think the swelling should be gone by tomorrow, so we’ll see then.” Tears started to fall from Sonny’s eyes again.
