After everyone settled on the sofa in the living room, Chandra glanced at her husband, who was observing the situation. Seeing him nod for her to handle everything, she turned to ask her son,
“Carter, what are you going to do about all this?”
“I will take responsibility for what I did.” When Carter spoke seriously, Amanda looked at him without any joy, knowing it was his obligation.
“How are you going to take responsibility?”
Carter shifted his gaze from his father, who had asked the question, to Amanda, who was watching him, and spoke without looking away from her, “I will register my marriage with Amanda.”
“What did you say?” The answer left Amanda shocked and confused as he said he would register their marriage. It wasn't the answer she wanted to hear or needed, similar to Chandra
