Katelyn’s POV
I woke up from my afternoon nap, feeling a bit disoriented. I yawned and blinked away the remaining sleep from my eyes, then I glanced at the time, and to my surprise, it was already past six in the evening.
“s**t!” I only wanted to have a few minutes sleep, but I have over slept, perhaps because of or gym class today, it has worn me out.
I immediately realized I should have been up by now to help my stepmother prepare dinner. After all, they had just returned from their honeymoon, and I wanted to give her a break to rest.
Silly me to be asleep until now, I climbed down my bed and quickly arranged my disheveled hair, and without wasting a moment, I hurried out of my room and dashed down the stairs, heading straight for the kitchen.
