Staring down at me with his cold eyes, King Demrid standing beside Xavion sucked all the air from my lungs. The golden rings around his hazel orbs hinted at his wolf’s power over his mind.
After kicking him in his nuts, I ran away, leaving that matter for Howard. My brother could fight with a Godzilla for me. But now, he was nowhere to be found, and a hell pissed King was at my door. I was stuck in a very dangerous situation.
Utterly panicked, I slid my hand to my pocket for the phone, but Demrid sensed my next move. He spoke coldly.
“Prince Howard got an important call from work. He left for the office.”
