Torn Angel

Chapter 2

My heart began to pound as my head hurt. I wished I knew what had happened. I mean Yes okay I use to much magic the other day and some scary guy tried to claim me or something. Thomas kicked his ass, well at least I think he did.

Someone sneezed scaring me causing someone to laugh. I realized I was snuggling against someone and I felt some warmth on my face. I was so relaxed as I slowly opened my eyes. Someone placed there hands on my eyes. I smiled happily as I nudged it. A chuckle shook me causing me to laugh as well.

“You should still be sleeping.” Andrew gently spoke as he sat up gently and kissed the top of my head. I snuggled in closer but knew I would have to get up soon. “We get all day together. Only rule is we have to stick together and stay in the castle ground.”

“Really?” I said looking up at him.

“Anything you want?” He spoke.

“Can I see your lycon?” I asked gently. He chuckled like I was kidding. He looked at me and stopped chuckling.

“Your serious?” He said a little shocked as I moved my head back to laying on his chest. “If you want to see him I will pull him out.”

“Well I want to see the other side of my lover.” I spoke looking at him with a smirk. He was frowning and looking away. “I have faith he won’t hurt me.”

“What happens if his sight scares you. He isn’t like a cute little wolf. He is huge and monstrous.” Andrew spoke like he was talking to discourage him more then me. I leaned up and kissed him to silence him.

“I will be the one to decide that. “ I told him happily. “I promise you I won’t run.”

“Alright fine.” He smiled. “But first breakfast.”

“I can agree to that.” I smiled as we both got up. He motioned for me to change. I looked down to see I was in a sweater and sweatpants. I sighed as I looked back at him. He smiled as he motioned me to the closet. I pouted as I walked in and quickly changed everything but my bra. I tempted to take it off and leave it off as it was bothering me but I don’t think that would go over to well with Andrew.

“Come, we will have breakfast.” He spoke as I walked out of the closet. He linked his fingers with me as we happily walked to the kitchen.

The cooks where so happy to see me they raced over to me and began to check me out. They made sure I wasn’t getting to skinny and when they found out I was they began talking about plumping me up. I thought it funny. Andrew didn’t think it was funny. He was angry how much weight I had lost.

“You cant control everything.” I smirked at him.

“Oh but I can darn near try.” He said before leaning down and pecking my lips. I smiled as the cooks brought over chocolate waffles with strawberry whipped cream and syrup. I was so excited. Andrew looked just as excited as he grabbed both plates and sat them down at the table. “Oh I just remembered something else.”

“Oh.” I spoke before I stuffed my mouth with a piece of waffle.

“Thomas asked me to tell you to keep your magic at a minimal today. Says you should use some but not a lot.” Andrew smiled. I could do that. That wouldn’t be a problem. I really didn’t like what happened yesterday. I forgot about it and just enjoyed my breakfast.

After breakfast Andrew led me outside to the field in the back area of the castle. He says it was safer that way. The little court yard wouldn’t be big enough and his lycon would go crazy. I smiled as he forced me to stop as he took a few steps back. He sighed as he went on all fours. He closed his eyes and I could tell he was trying but something was stopping him.

“He doesn’t want to come out.” Andrew spoke happily.

“He doesn’t want to come out or you don’t want him to come out.” I spoke crossing my arms. Andrew stopped mid stride pondering how he should answer this. I though it a wise option.

“Avery I just don’t trust him.” Andrew finally confessed. “The fear of what I did to you in the jail still fresh in my mind.”

“Is he not apart of you?”

“Well yes, more then anything else.”

“Does he not love me like you do?”

“Oh trust me he wants to rip me to shreds because I harmed you.” Andrew chuckled.

“Then how could he hurt me.” I finally said as he took a deep breath. Soon his body began to bend and move. Snapping could be heard as a once handsome man turned into a overly large wolf. I didn’t really see a difference between Reco and Andrew. Okay granted Andrew was larger, looked more muscular and his teeth hung partially out of his mouth.

To say I was not taken back about the sight would be a lie. But the way this massive white brute in front of my had his head hanging down made him look like a overly large wolf stuffy. I walked over and wrapped my arms around his muzzle causing him to be taken back. He didn’t move however.

“I think Andrew might have to be careful. He’s got competition with his big fur baby.” I spoke kissing the closes spot I could. The lycon under me barked happily as he wagged his tail. “Oh your just like an over sized puppy aren’t you.”

“Woof.” The lycon spoke before he gently pushed me over causing me to squeal. He licked my cheek before he rubbed his nose on it. I giggle some more and I new this made him happy as I heard him purr happily. I knew that definitely was not the right word as cats purr but it was like that for dogs. Soon that purr turned into a growl as he stood up and became protective. I quickly stood and grabbed some fur by his front leg. I didn’t grab to tight as I didn’t want to hurt him.

“Oh the big bad lycon is out.” A voice I didn’t know spoke. Fear now took me causing Andrew’s lycon to growl more as I pressed closer into him.

“He’s a teddy bear compared to what we have seen.” Another voice spoke.

It was like they where taunting us. I feared to look due to what happened with the last time I heard a voice. I stayed plastered to his side and I knew he was okay with that. He just growled as I stood there holding his fur. If he moved I followed and he knew that. He was so careful with me but he managed to move us close to the castle.

“Your trespassing.” Tanisha snickered as she came up beside us. She placed a hand on my back causing me to shutter. I think I pulled some fur because Andrew whimpered. I instantly let him go causing him to growl.

“We go where we want when we want." They spoke.

“Yep not on our turf.” Pat said. Good 4 people to fight. Now to just get my fear under control so I can move from Andrew’s side. I took a deep breath and went to take a step away but he moved his head around and tucked me right back in. I did however turn my head and looked over at a small pack of wolves with two humans standing in front of them.

“That one was the one I attacked to protect the Luna.” I whispered gently. Andrew’s head looked my way before he turned and crouched. His growl was so loud I had to cover my ears.

“Princess where is Rachelle?” Tanisha called once his growl quieted.

“She went with Logan.” I spoke as she handed me my weapons. I quickly strapped them on knowing I might need them. Andrew didn’t think so but didn’t complain.

“Alright ladies get ready.” Pat spoke as the two humans now phased. They where slightly bigger them the group but I knew it had to be because they where Alphas. They soon charged causing Pat and Andrew to take first. I strung my bow and let a few arrows fly with Tanisha at my side.

“Go.” I spoke as the last Arrow went. I dropped the basket and arrow right there as I pulled out my daggers. The sword would be useless so I dropped that. I will have to remember to collect it once done.

Tanisha and I stayed tight. I wasn’t as good as Rachelle and we stumbled over each other quite a bit but soon we worked into a rhythm that suited us. I was really proud of myself till one of the wolves jumped me causing us to role a distance away. I knew who it was and quickly got to my feet. Tanisha tried to get to me but that seemed to fail as more rouges got between us.

Andrew also didn’t like it as he growled and whimpered at the same time. He however was fighting four rouges at once along side Pat. Definitely not a battle I would want to be in. One on one with a wolf was scary. Well the wolf in front of me did the unthinkable. He got bigger and his canines grew. Great just what I needed a freaking Lycon. Andrew’s worry now evident as I stood my ground concentrating on my breathing. I had to be careful. As he pounced at me I got ready to strike but something pinned me down.

“Please say your Alright.” Rachelle instantly looked me over as she rose. I hugged her tight as I looked up to see Logan having some fun flying lessons.

‘Princess.’ Callista spoke as she flapped in before galloping over. She shifted mid stride and came in contact with me. She to began to check me over. I just laughed as I hugged her. Reco had the other Alpha in a brawl as Andrew was fighting a few rouges. Tanisha and Patric where tag teaming it. They looked way better then I.

“Logan got worried. He felt something bad had happened to you and we instantly flew out.” Rachelle said. Callista nodded as if she did to. She pulled on her dress that was attached to her leg.

“Something evil is after me.” I spoke gently. “I guess he was able to mark me after I brought you to Logan.”

“Evil?” Callista asked a little unsure.

“Yeah said to have been after my mom.” I told her. “I really don’t know the details. Papa and Thomas know more but I haven’t had time to talk to them.”

“It’s alright. We are here now.” Callisa spoke as she hugged her. Soon I heard a big thud behind me as a wolf head came up and around my back. His head pushed me into his chest as he just stayed like that. I chuckled as I began to comb his face.

‘you big lug nut move.’ Reco spoke. I could feel Andrew move.

‘You move. She is my mate and I can sit with her however I want.’ The voice was deep. I just chuckled because I could hear Andrew’s voice as well as a second.

‘She is an angel, you are going to squish her.’ Reco piped up biting him. Oh that was it. Andrew was on his feet ready to pounce on Reco. As he did one of his claws cut my arm. Wasn’t deep or nothing but surprised me. ‘Oh shit.’

‘Dartanion.’ Andrew yelled. I quickly jumped up and grabbed Andrew’s muzzle. He was taken back but stopped all movement.

“I could use Andrew back please.” I spoke gently. He nodded and stepped away allowing for his bones to break back. I had a towel wrapped around him so he could put clothing I had also brought out for him on. He quickly did that and raced to me. He wrapped my in his arms. “See told you he can behave.”

“Only for you.” Andrew chuckled before he gave a nasty look over to Reco who was sitting all pretty. His hand fell on the mark and healed it. I smiled at him kissing his cheek.

“Dartanion?” I spoke looking over. The wolf that was Reco froze at the name. Callista chuckled as well as Rachelle.

‘Not funny.’ Well I guess now its Dartanion. He slinked over as Andrew and I sat down on the ground beside Rachelle and Callista. Pat and Tansiha where sharing a moment to themselves. Dartanion plopped his head in my lap and looked at me.

“Ew dude your drooling.” Andrew said.

‘And you smell like a pig.’ Dartanion snapped.

“Behave.” I snapped at him. He threw his paws over his muzzle. Callista gently chuckled beside me. I then just realized as the horrible smell hit me. “Can we please move back to the castle.”

“I second that.” Logan spoke as he pulled me up out of both boys grasp. I chuckled lightly as he also had Rachelle on her feet. Reco phased causing Andrew to jump to my side and cover my eyes. Logan had to have done the same for Rachelle because his hand was off me. A squeal from Tanisha was heard.

“Come on man. Little warning next time.” Pat growled causing us all to chuckle.

“Reco.” Callista called a little hurt and angry. I quickly brought some clothing from the house for him.

“You okay Tanisha.” I called over.

“Definitely not a sight I want to see.” She cried.

“Oh come o…..ow" Reco called. I hear Callista stomping away from him. Andrew released my eyes when she was close.

‘So what’s your lycon name?’ I said looking up at Andrew. He was holding me so tight I was literally almost being held by him as we walked in sync. He just smiled as he kissed my forehead and focused forward.

“Parker.” Reco said bouncing in view. Andrew growled and pounced on him. Reco was quick to get away. Callista was there to catch me. I looked over at the two who where racing after each other.

“Come.” Callista spoke gently. I nodded as I walked away with her.

“There are dead rouges out in the field. Please remove them by burning them. If there are any alive place them in the dungeon.” I spoke as two guards raced up to us. Pat and Logan nodded as we all split. Callista followed me to the room. Pat and Tanisha raced off to what they had been doing. Logan and Rachelle followed them so they can catch up.

“Now those boys I’m sure are going to be at it for a bit. What would you like to do.” Callista asked gently. I looked at her and smiled.

“Let’s head to the roof.” I told her with a smile. She smiled with me as we began walking to the roof. Found out the packs where working well together. The warriors where training great and working well together.

“This is breath taking.” She spoke gently as I opened the door for her. Callista stepped out and was in awe. “I cant believe this could be as beautiful as it is.”

“I know right. It’s just breath taking.” I told her as I walked to the railing. “This is one of my favorite places.”

“I can see why.” Callista said leaning beside me.

“No one really knows about this place other then Andrew you and Thomas . Thomas never comes up here but he made it for me. A place I can go when ever I need to be on my own.” I told her. “I don’t mind sharing the place though.”

“Everything okay?” She asked after a few minutes. I sighed and looked over at her.

“I am actually scared. I cant be alone anymore. This dark man after me scares me.” I told her trying not to shake. “I don’t know what to do anymore. I mean I got over my mom’s beating but this man is still out there. And the worst thing is he can attack in my dreams or weakened state.”

“Its okay Avery. We are here to help. I know Thomas and Andrew are working close to keep you safe and you know your father will do everything in his power to protect you.” Callista said. As she placed a hand on my shoulder. “None of us can help with the magical portion of it all but we will be there for everything else. I guarantee it.”

“I know and I thank you all. I just hate when Andrew and Thomas aren’t close. I mean Yes this happened yesterday but still. Him being away from me just scares me.” I said gently.

“Avery.” Andrew spoke as I looked back to see him walking towards me. He wrapped his arms around me and pulls me close to him. My back on his chest. My worry disappearing as I laid my head against his shoulder.

“Thank you.” I whispered causing him to bury his face in my neck.

“I’m sorry.” He spoke gently.

“Hey don’t apologies to her.” Reco spoke as he popped up beside us holding Callista the same way. “I would have never done something like that. I’m sorry Avery, I should have found out what happened. If I had knew the threat properly I would have made sure he never left your side.”

“Well now we make sure they stay together right.” Callista smiled as she looked over at us. I nodded as I tried to snuggle closer to Andrew as he pulled me closer. This was my piece. My eyes closed as I just breathed in his musky scent. I mean most women probably rejected that smell but to me it was him and I loved it.

I shot out of his arms as I felt myself falling asleep. I was breathing hard in the fear. He did move which allowed me to turn to him and hold him tight. He began to pet my hair to comfort me. This was not like me. I was not a scared person but this man has turned me into it. Now I fear darkness unless forced on me but even that scared me.

“Come we should find the others and find out what is going on.” Callista gently spoke as she laid a hand on my shoulder. I looked at her and hugged her.

“Please you don’t have to go. It’s okay.” I spoke gently. She chuckled as I let her go.

“I know sweetheart but we need to know how to help you. You stay here and enjoy this with him. We will be back soon.” Callista spoke as she pulled Reco along with her. Andrew wrapped his arms around me again once they where gone.
