The woman was unmistakably Lily.
In the photo, Lily was so emaciated she looked skeletal. Audrey couldn't reconcile this with her memory of that arrogant woman.
"Ma'am, what should we do?" the secretary asked, her voice trembling.
Audrey remained calm. "Call the police and follow standard procedures."
The secretary hesitated. "Should we inform Mr. Ashford about this?"
Without hesitation, Audrey replied, "No. Grace's health has been fragile lately. Let's not frighten her."
