At long last, the eastern-side wall. Where is that Pufferfish, though? I don’t see it right on. “Yo, the boss told us you would come. Are you gonna observe us today?” Hmm, Ellen has carried me into the spotlight of the dusk. Even this person, a stranger-hero, has known my existence right off the bat. “Uh-huh. I Can’t do it without the monsters attendance, however. Mind to show me the place?” “Happy to help. Follow me, young man. By the way, name’s Jeremy.” “Reginald, but you can call me Regi.” A new acquaintance of the day. Check. --- So, that is the gate of tempest. The engraved motives and patterns tuned itself flawlessly to the fabled honorific title. The structure made me shuddered a little when we get closer to it. “It seems everyone was notified of my turnover to this spot, did Ellen tell you why?” “Nothing in particular. Is it important?” “Nah, Just wanna have some grip over the situation. It seems everyone is supportive to me this morning.” “That’s how we play, Regi.We are always delighted to lead you guys through the drills as the veteran of this things.” Cool. Ellen has turned me on-site as the intern of the job for this time. “Thanks, Jeremy. Is this Pufferfish tough?” “Yes. It's wreck havoc on some of our on-the-scene crews. For the number, We have 10 persons within the radius of the fight, excluding you.” Ah, finally, that’s the famed Pufferfish. The fin is acted as the legs, not the other way around. He is not the only one in-charge, however, since the four of its henchman underpinning its race to glory. “The army on its skirt is poisonous, too. Avoid the edge of those bastards for your own life.” “Roger that.” “Anyway, even with the ample information that I just handed out, I need you to stay up on this ledge and overview the fight from afar. I have to help them out.” “Alright, take care of yourself, Jeremy.” A close contact is prohibited, it’s the base information that I could retrieve. How did they manage to exhibit them, then? --- “Argh, have a bunch of this, you monster!” Numerous shell of bullets have squandered all over the area of attack. Three armed-gunmen, in their ranged attack to the creature and its allies, spraying their fire to every fraction of its limbs. “ Why we can’t damage this blow-ball? Hey, Jeremy, any other way to puncture their skin layer?” “Light some bombs!! It might be effective to their skin, somehow!!” “Roger that..... Fire in the hole!!” The continuous bombardment of explosions is covering all of the goons and their boss. However, It doesn’t pose much injury to the school of fish before them, as they keep advancing forward to the other end of the wall. “It’s not optimal... Zeke! Try to Stab them with your daggers!!” “As you wish, captain.” Zeke prompted to throw the dagger to the Puffer-fish. However, reactive to the aggression, the Pufferfish quickly swivels its body to deflect the dagger outward. “Zeke! Watch out!” As he collapsed by the counter-strike of his own dagger, Pufferfish’s henchman is whipping their elongated fins to his torso, immediately piercing his body with ease. “No!!! Rargh, come on!!” “This is horrific. To witness this without doing my part... Hey, Jeremy, are you okay?” “Stay there, Regi. We can handle this. Have forbearance, will ya?” The existing group of saviors are boasting their skills to stop the campaign of their adversary. Jeremy, as one of the pack, attempting to throw numerous ice balls to the advancing mutants for his own means to stop the assault. “Huoohhhh!!!” The Puffer-fish, by the dawn of its anger, accelerating its pace to reach Jeremy in the heat of retaliation. “Jeremy, can I break this wall? I need projectiles for my ammo.” “Here, use my ability. Ask me if you want some more, we can not let this being come across.” “If you say so, captain. Reloading!!” A member of the team proceed to put the ice chunk to the opening of her weapons. As she unload the barrel of her arms, a line of ice wall is raising up from the ground. “Ice wall diffused!! Disperse, guys!!” The signal from her shout stopping the aggression of the team subsequently. The army of fish seems struggled by the unexpected blockades, attempting to scratch the wall’s tip with their protruding fins. “Hey, they stopped moving! Great reaction, hanna!” “Do not let off your guard, Rick! Stand by..... Gave them hell, now!” “Right-o, boss! Haaaaa...” Rick, as Jeremy called him, is shooting a flurry of bullet from his gun. The Pufferfish and its troops shrieking in pain by the burst of the barrel, since it was explosive barrels all along. “Hubooobo.... Buho!!” “Three of them are dead.... We are the champions, boss!” “Stay Alert, RICK!! What did I tell you seconds ago? keep your eye to the god damn puff, not to the goons!!” The immediate cry of sorrow is reverberating from the lone leader. A massive deafening blast of voice are cracking the walls, causing a local tremor to it’s surroundings in advance. “It’s growing bigger.... stand back!!” The barbs of its body, once an ornament of doom, turned into numerous flying missile  and bombarding the entire room in a flash of madness. The corpse of deceased martyr lying motionless, gotten punctured by the load of barbs that were emitted from the Pufferfish beforehand. “Argh..... It hurts so bad..... Jeremy!! Everyone...” (bzzt.....bzzt) “Regi, do you copy?” ”Huh? It’s you, Maria.... send back-up right away, officers and our comrades..” “Heh? Comrades? Oh, yes, right, the help is on the line, so, uh...can you distract the target away from our partners? Please, buy some time for the dispatched team. This is an order from our superior.” “If you send units to this place, I will do as best as I can, even without the pressure from the top.” “much obliged, Regi. Good luck.” (bzzt...bzzt) Reginald pick oneself up to face the wrath of his foe, the inflated fish, by his enormous newfound vigor. He is in fury, burning in spirit to unleash the vengeance of his acquaintances, Jeremy, and his group of defenders. “Hubbo?” “Yes, hubbo-hubbo, you bastard!!” He took one of his allies’ weapon and directed the aim to the ballooning body of the Pufferfish. “Savor this, you inflatable prick!” The barrage of bullet is springing out of the recoil, shooting the ammo simultaneously to the Pufferfish’s body. It doesn’t seem to work with the relentless limbs of the fish, as It doesn’t show a dent over the skin. “How about this one?” He snatched the other weapon lying on the ground and press the trigger in an instant. “Huh? It doesn’t work.... oh, this is her stuff. I have to reload this with something.” He stripped the barb that stuck deep inside the remains of his allies and reloading it up to the magazine. “I’m gonna avenge you all entirely, my acquaintances.” As the magazine filled with barbs, Reginald continues to carry on with the salvo of restless ammunition as his only means to encounter the blob. “You are playing hard to finish, huh. Sit on tight, I need a heavy kick to kill you.” As the next one of his line, He retrieved Rick’s explosive launcher, the presumably-effective weapon of the last attempt of assault. “Feel this one on your skin, then.” The bombardment begins with the volley of combustible ammunition, splashing the blazing fire from its barrel and burning the Pufferfish’s skin to crisps. “Khriekakkk.... reeak....” “Die, you piece of gourmet! Get roasted and be my dinner!!” The Pufferfish is generating another set of bursting missiles, enlarging its body to gain momentum of shot. “Come on, prove yourself as the proper enemy!! Shower me with it!” “Hobbobo!!” The second wave of barbs were blown up everywhere, piercing the entire room with the sharp needle of its skin. “Argh, it is painful, but will never work, buddy. I am here to eliminate you.” He is keeping the act of an arson, igniting the fire to scorch the whole body of the fish entirely. “Argh, it’s out of ammo! Wait for some time, I’ll come back.” “forgive me to take this too long, buddy! Die, you fluffy!!” (Boom! Bwoshh..) The reinforcement arrived to the stage over the roof. The person-in-charge is a woman with spiky hair, that proceed to incinerate the monster with the fiery blast from her right hand. “You came here too late. It’s dead already, along with my acquaintance and his team.” After finishing her flair, she rappels down to land in front of Reginald. She is clapping her hand, subsequently bowing down to him with respectable manner as her marks of gratitude. “Whoa, amazing!! A big round of applause to you, my fellow savior.” She then approaching the fallen combatants to examine their vital points. “At least we could save the life of 4 of them, including Jeremy.” “What are you waiting for? Let’s get out of here and rescue them all.” “I am the only support, you see. It takes one step at a time for this. Grab that man right there, I’ll take care of the woman.” --- A tiresome day, indeed. Too much of events were occurring down the past hours, it made my mind blank while carrying my acquaintance of the day. He is a lot heavier than I thought, this buff. “Hey, who is that guy, anyway? Why are they attacking our frontier walls that easy?” “Hmm? I don’t recognize them, somehow, but it seems like a Fishman.” “Fishman? Why it’s called that way?” “Dunno. I’m not the one responsible with the name, but Mr. LORD had titled them with it for the code.” In other sense, I have to mitigate my interest on the database, huh. “And.... even if you ask me, I don’t know much of how they breach our stronghold. You better ask this to the general.” “General? Who is it? Ellen?” “No, the Mr. LORD himself, you dummy. Ellen is the right hand of the emperor, our sole director. Before you ask about it more, I can say that it’s out of my mind. ” “Oh, I’ll cram myself up with it sometime. Sorry, who are you? We are chatting like this without exchanging names. Kind of weird for me.” “Gee, you don’t have to know anything about it, don’t you think? Us, of all people, would die eventually.” This might be the girl I end up with, if it’s on the novel. To be slowly attached with emotional baggage of sadness, knowing each other’s denomination, and voila! The offspring and a happy valentine’s epilogue. Haha,  no way, it is too much to think of. “Hoo, that’s your principle, I presume? It’s the only course to be detached with no possible way to be torn away to shreds by emotions in warfare.” “Hmm? It’s kind of too much, but yeah, It’s my answer. You must be clever to think ‘bout it up front.” “Not really. It’s my habit to study, even if my job won’t brag so much for it somehow.” “Hoho, a book-worm. Be cautious with the books, you might get squashed by it.” “Haha, thanks.” Oh god, my anxiety with girls kicked in. Why is the headquarters so long to catch? I’m running out of topics. That answer is too awkward to say, yet I blurted it out nonetheless. “Why are you so intrigued to note everyone in your pocket? Is that boring?” Ha, she is expressive. I am not rallying this crosswords with my own spine, it’s a relieve to my head. “This is a fundamental aspect of life, at least to me. If I know a lot about the people I’ve encountered, I could catch their drift and bring them into my clutch someday.” “ So, in other way of saying it, You are an opportunist.” “In a positive way, though. If I could read and sense their feelings, I am in control of what they did, and it’s not correlated as an advantageous position of me over them.” “Bright and clear, dude. Hey, look! that’s our destination. Finally, we can hurry for a round two after this.”
