"GET OUT!!" A middle-age woman is yelling outside one of the apartments. She kept slamming the door that troubled the neighbor because of a huge sound. Her angry shouts echoed outside the apartment of room 402.
Inside the apartment of room 402, trash is everywhere. An empty cup noodles, different snacks, clothes on the ground, and a man is comfortably sleeping in the middle of the mess.
"You didn't pay your rent for the past few months. How shameless of you to still live in my apartment? Do you think this is a home for beggars? Shameless! I'm not going to shelter a beggar. If you can't pay then GET OUT!!" The landlady loudly smacked the door.
*BANG*
The landlady stomped her foot and spit on the door. She cursed again and left. Silence once again reigned in the apartment after the middle-age woman left. The man inside after getting a lot of insults still has no response. He is like a statue that is invincible to anything around him. After an hour of lying in the apartment and doing nothing, he stood up, got some cigarettes and moved on the balcony to smoke.
*Ding*
His old cell phone blinked. And the notification of someone who sent him a message appeared.
[Mr. Lee fired you, good job Carl for being fired 30 times consecutive in a row. Pentakill]

[You still have 100,000 usd debt in your account. Where are you? How dared you run after loaning this much in the organization.]

Carl took a quick glance at the message, his eyes are lifeless. Dark shadows are underneath his tired eyes. He was already numb and didn't want to have any feelings anymore. He did nothing wrong in his life. He is a sincere and honest man. ''Why me? Of all people? Dear lord, Am I not one of your children?' He lowered his head. No emotion on his face. But the grip in his cellphone tightened.
Carl didn't have a good life, his father died in a plane crash and his mother abandoned him in the suburbs when he was only six years old.
Even though he became an orphan. He still did his best to become an honest citizen of the city.
The orphanage hosted him when he was seven years old. A year later the orphanage burned down.
Carl didn't lose hope. He is a good child so many childless couples wanted to take care of him. The elderly couple is the best example for that.
An elderly couple likes his attitude and took Carl in their humble home. But 2 years later, the couple died because of sickness.
Without inheritance, Carl could only stop studying and live again in the suburbs. He disgusted the children who wanted to influence him in doing a robbery for a living.
Carl can only stand by himself without relying on others at a young age. In his teens he had a big dream, like everyone else, so he studied very hard. But because he is by himself all alone, he needs money for all his basic needs. He is underage at that time and no one wanted to hire him.
He can only beg for others so he could continue his study. He accepts all the insults that others will give to him for the sake of achieving his dream, but begging is not enough. A bully targeted him because of being poor. He swallowed his pride and let the bullying happen, but Carl got tired of restraining himself and fought back to the bully, the school expelled him, that caused his dream to become just a fantasy.
Carl can only blame his fortune for being born in this world without proper support. In this world where a child has been abandoned and all alone by himself without support only an opportunity can save him, sadly the world didn't give it to him unlike the other people who have given a chance to stand by themselves with the help of others.
Junior High School is the highest attainment that he achieved in education that is why it is hard to get a good job because of the lack of knowledge. He tried doing a part-time job in fast food or restaurant as a server but because he has a big build that looks like a gangster, some customers who have a big attitude always try to fight him, causing trouble to his work.
When he was 18 years old, he started to work as a construction worker. Sadly after six months of earning, the company who hired him goes bankrupt.
When he thought of ending his life, he met a girl and fell in love with her. He thought his life was starting to turn in the right direction until one day. Many illegal organizations after his body because of a debt that he didn't loan. His girlfriend scammed him and put his name under many debts.
Back to his apartment, his hand moved on the messy table and got the bottle of beer, he jugged it down on his throat but there's no drop of liquor. The beer is now empty.
He got his old cell phone and walked out from his apartment, and went to a nearby store to buy another can of beer. He is already losing hope. He learned how to drink at a young age, and learned bad habits like smoking but he always abide the rules and didn't do any wrong doings.
After buying the can of beer, he glanced at his now empty pocket, mocking himself inside.
He walked on the riverside and sat on the grass. Reminiscing his past life thinking that he is a scum of this world, doing nothing but become a burden.
He looked at the sky, questioning what sin did he have in the past to have this kind of life.
"My life is a s**t, so might as well suicide." He shouted on the river side.
*ding*
His old cell phone just got a message, Carl took a look at the screen:
Sender: xxxxxx
[Do you want a new life? Do you want to be a man who will rule the world?]
[Yes] [No]
Carl smirked, and thought of it as a joke. He clicked the [Yes] button, wondering if some advertisement will appear after.
The robotically voice entered his head.
