“I really hope you haven’t been following me.” I said, sounding irritated.
I heard his footsteps coming closer and he stopped when he came to my right side. I didn’t look over at him but I could see him in my peripherals.
“Would you rather I let you wander this place alone?” He asked. I looked over at him then.
“If I said yes?” I asked, raising my eyebrow. He shook his head with a grin.
“In your dreams. This is probably the craziest thing I’ve seen you do next to going to meet Abel. You have no idea what’s here.” I huffed at his comment.
“Oh, and I suppose you do?” I said before looking back at the directory.
“No, but a research facility isn’t likely to be a danger-free zone. There’s no telling what’s lurking around in here.” He said. I hated when he was right.
