Chapter 2

"Andre man, you seem tense these days, are you OK"? I hear my beta and best friend Brent say to me as I look out the window of my office that, over, looks part of my territory. "I am fine Brent I just wish I could find my mate my better half I have been searching for what seems like forever I even downloaded a stupid dating app hoping she will be on there" I say rubbing my hands through my hair and over my face. "Hey maybe she will be on there dude you never know but don't give up hope now" he says to me before he gets up to do his daily duties. I am just so tired of looking and trying to find her. Maybe she is dead, maybe she hasn't been born yet. Who the hell knows? I am getting frustrated just thinking about it. I decide I need to go for a run. As I step out on the back porch, I jump and shift in mid air, leaving my shredded clothes on the ground. I feel my wolf happy and free just running through the forest of my territory. My wolf is pretty amazing, my fur is black with silver on my paws and at the tips of my ears.

After hours of running, I finally got back to my house and got dressed. "Jacky can you come over and talk, please sis, I need you" I mind linked my sister. I could use her advice. I walk up the stairs as I enter my room, I leave a trail of my clothes from the bedroom floor to the bathroom. I love running in wolf form but always feel dirty right after, so a hot shower is much needed. As I enter the bathroom, I just turn on the hot water and hop in. I take a quick shower knowing my sister will be here any minute. "Andre, you better be dressed. I do not want to walk in on you naked", I heard my sister yell around my house. "Give me 5 minutes Jacky, I am getting dressed". I yelled back so she doesn't come up the stairs. After I am dressed, I head down stairs and see my sister sitting in the living room playing on her phone. "Hey sis thank you for coming over on short notice", I say to her as I sat next to her. "Sure thing bro whats up" she says with worry in her eyes. "Jacky I am worried cause I have yet to find my mate and the guys even got me to download a stupid dating app what are your thoughts" I ask rubbing the back of my neck.

After hours of talking and laughing with Jacky, she heads home to her mate and pups, but it's nice to know that she doesn't think that the dating app is completely supid. I go upstairs to my office and take my phone out of my pocket. As I sat down, I started looking at the dating app. I flip through profile after profile til one picture catches my eyes. It's of a beautiful she wolf and her 2 pups. I read her profile and looked at all her pictures. It was then that I decided I was going to message her. I had to, I don't know why, but I felt I had to get to know her. I had never wanted to talk to someone before, so I quickly wrote a short message in hopes that she would reply. The message said "Hello beautiful, how are you?" I sent the message and put my phone back down. Secretly, I was hoping and praying it would, ding any minute, letting me know that she had responded to it but it didn't make a sound for the rest of the night. I stayed up until about midnight hoping my phone would make no noise. When it didn't, I decided to go to bed.
