"Are you gonna stay like that?" Onii-chan asked as I was dozing off.

"What will I do?"

"Even I don't know" Papa said

"Why are you even acquainted to them?"

"Well, her father and I are good friends back in college. I have no idea that he's a yakuza. I only learned when his father was arrested but Seijuro, Saioko's father and my friend is a very kind person."

"I wish Saioko's the same. Why did she even choose me? I'm a woman"

"Saioko's a bit tomboyish. Maybe she really likes you" Onii-chan said

"Is same s*x marriage even illegal here?"

"They are rich people. They can marry who they want"

"Do even her parents know what she's doing?"

"Saioko is the youngest of 12 siblings. Her father doesn't expect much of her. So she can do whatever she wants" Onii-chan answered

"So, there is no way I'll be getting out of that situation?"

"Yeah, probably"

"I didn't even have a boyfriend since birth but now in one day, I'm already engaged and to a woman. This is bullshit" I said "Why did I even sign that contract. Mom always told me to read and study every contract before signing. Oh my God..." I said as I was about to cry.

"Hey... we'll think of a way so don't cry alright" Onii-chan said

"What did you do that Saioko have chosen you?" Papa asked

"Well, business talk. I was really good at it. I was blessed with sweet words that I closed every deal. It was the talent that mom have seen in me when I was only 14 years old. After that she trained me to become the next in line president of our business. She was a very strict woman but I know she's doing that for my future"

Oniichan looked at me with worried eyes "I'll talk to Saioko tomorrow, for now, you should rest" Onii-chan said

"Then I'm coming with you. I'll tell her it's a misunderstanding" I said

"Alright then" Onii-chan said as I went up and rest.

"What are you going to do Noeru? You know Saioko well; she will not break that engagement. Once Saioko set her eyes on one person, she will have her"

"Don't worry about it Papa. I will protect Sam."

"I'll do the same then"

The next morning, we went back to the Fujimoto's residence,

"We were very sorry about the misunderstanding" Onii-chan said

"Misunderstanding?" Saioko said in a calm voice.

"About my sister... you see, she taught it was a business proposal"

"So what do you want me to do?"

"I want you to break the engagement"

Saioko grins "Break it? Are you sure of what you are saying Noeru?"

"I am"

"Your sister already belongs to me. She already signed a contract with me"

I guess there's no other way to break that contract. I'm going to marry this woman. I tapped Onii-chan. "It's fine brother. This is my fate." I whisper

"Hey, don't worry. I'll get you out of this" Onii-chan said as he looked back to Saioko "Sam came here for my replacement"

Saioko looked seriously with Onii-chan

"So that means, I am the person you are engaged to and not her"

There was a long silence... and then suddenly Saioko breaks the silence with laughter.

"Don't play dumb with me Noeru" she said as she gets serious again "It was her that signed the contract, not you"

"How about you alter the agreement? I'll marry you instead of her."

I looked at Onii-chan. We only met two days ago but he's willing to sacrifice for me. "Onii-chan"

"No" Saioko answered

"Why is it so hard for you to do it? I'm making a deal with you Saioko."

"There's no deal going between us Noeru. I want your sister"

"Hey. Can I talk?" I interrupted

Onii-chan looked at me

"Go ahead" Saioko said

"Are you in love with me?" I asked Saioko

"What?" she said

"Because marriage is for two people who are inlove"

"Thats... a bullshit" Saioko said "This is an arranged marriage, it means you can't choose who you love. You went here yesterday and begged me to choose you, now you wanted to break it. Where the hell is your 'Nothing is impossible in this world' and 'in one glance I know you are the person you are looking for'?"

She was scary. Her calm personality vanished in a second. I'm gonna be dead if this goes on. There is no way this woman will take me out alive.

"Our contract says that if one breaks the engagement, she will be disposed of"

"By you mean dispose, you mean like..."

"Cutting her into pieces and dumping her body in sea"

"You are one scary person"

"Don't believe in her Sam, she can't kill you after all, among that four people, she chooses you" Onii-chan said "Anata wa, interijentona hito Saiokodesu. Saioko smiled "Watashi wa nani o shitara? [What if I do?]"

"Watashi wa kantan ni watashi no imōto o akirameru koto wa arimasen [I won't easily give up my sister]"

"Sonogo, watashi wa sore no tame ni tatakau koto ni naru [Then I will fight for it]"

I looked at both of them "What are you two talking about?" I asked

Onii-chan looked at me and smiled "It's nothing"

"I won't break the engagement" Saioko said

Onii-chan is disappointed "Very well" he said as he stood, "Let's go Sam"

"Onii-chan?" I stood up and followed him. He was really disappointed "I'm sorry. I've caused you a trouble. I've been here for two days but I'm in mess right now"

"You never cause us trouble. We are the one who caused you, we should have told about the invitation"

"It was really my fault..." Then I stop walking "Onii-chan, can you go home first... I want to talk to her again"

"Sam?" Onii-chan looked at me

"Give me this shot." I smiled "My business talk put me in this situation, maybe it can get me out"

There were a few moment silences "Very well" he said as he patted my head "Do what you do"

"Arigato" I said as I walk back.

Saioko was still in her room preparing tea...

"Would you mind making one for me?" I asked

"Of course, I would... This is a duty of a wife" she said as she looked at me "Have a sit"

"Thank you" I said as I sit. I watched her as she pours a tea, she was really elegant and beautiful.

"Your tea" she said as she handed the cup

I took a sip... "Your tea is the best I tasted my entire life" I complimented

She smiled "I am happy to serve you the best"

"I have never asked you" I said "Why me?"

"You asked for it" she answered

"Are you a lesbian? Practically, I'm a woman; you should have chosen a man instead of me"

"Well, if I say I'm a lesbian, will that satisfy you? Will you not break the engagement?"

"Well... you see... I'm not the lover type. I never had any relationship. A day ago, I just met my long-lost father and brother, and now I'm already engage with a woman I didn't even know"

"Then, let's know each other. I am Saioko Fujmoto, the youngest of 12. My father is Seijuro Fujimoto, a businessman and my mother is Kahrin Edwards, a Canadian-Japanese. My father is one of the top leaders of a Yakuza Family."

"Are you trying to scare me?"

"I'm just telling you the dark secret of my family. You're already engaged with me, you should know that"

"So, is it okay for your parents that you're engaged with a woman?"

"The only important person for my parents is my oldest brother. He's the next in line leader. He should be perfect"

"So, you're not important to them"

She smirks "Don't you think that my parents are bad persons. Well, their half bad for being a yakuza and doing illegal things, but as family, they are perfect. I have already sent them my engagement and they were happy that I have chosen someone."

"So then, they already know you're engage with a woman?"

"Of course, and they're happy to meet you"

"That was too fast... "

"Do you like me Sam?" She asked

"What?"

"Do you like me?"

"Well... of course I like you, but not that romantically"

"It is enough for now... liking by the person you like"

"You like me?"

She smiles "Of course I do, why would I choose you if I didn't? And why would I never let this engagement break?"

"Well..." I flushed out... this is the first time someone said they like me. There this excited feeling inside of me and I was on the middle of thinking about it when she kissed me.

"I want to learn more about you Sam" she said

I could feel the hotness in my cheeks...

She smiled "Surprised?"

I nodded

"But this is the second time that I kissed you"

"Well, yesterday, I thought it was just a normal greeting"

She chuckles "Anyway... Am I your first kiss?"

I turned red again "Yes"

"Well, I'm glad it was me" she said "Do you like some more tea?"

I smiled "of course"

We talk about ourselves that day and didn't notice the time.

"It's already dark" I said

"I'll take you home"

"No... I can manage myself"

"Please... I am your wife, let me take you home"

"Wife..." I chuckled "So, does it make me your husband?"

"Do you prefer it?"

"Do I look like a butch to you?"

"You are pretty no matter what you look." She complimented "I don't care"

I smiled. She's way prettier than me but she insisted it. "I should be going, really"

"Then, let me walk you out"

"Alright"

As I was on my way home, I think it's not bad having a wife. It was... fun, things that I never experience when I'm home. Maybe because, I've never had fun before. Feels different... suddenly, I am seeing myself smiling by my own.
