Lila's POV We hurried. We pulled on our clothes in a clumsy silence. It was the kind of silence that came from doing something we couldn't take back and now had to hide. The knock still hung in the air. "Your shirt," I whispered. I tossed it at him from the floor. He caught it against his chest without looking. He already reached for my dress where it had landed half under the bed. "Ryker," Victor's voice came again. It was closer to the wood now. "Are you in there?" Ryker pressed a finger to his lips.
