"Robert, lead five through the back entrance" Alfredo spoke into the mic piece that was attached in his collar.
"Okay boss" He heard Robert's voice through the ear piece
"Follow me" he then said to the group of men, all dressed in black suits and with a pistol in hand, standing behind him.
He then made his way inside the abandoned warehouse, through the front entrance. Someone had tipped him that the men who stole drugs from his location were hiding here in the outskirts of the city. He was therefore here to lead the attack. As he made his way inside, the men behind him covered him from the sides, walking in two lines on either of his sides while two men stayed back behind him. Inside were many cardboard boxes, which he assumed to be empty or must be filled with some trash, but he was sure his drugs were not in these boxes. He then hid behind one of the box towers and peeked through the side to get a better look at the interior of the warehouse. At some distance, a tungsten bulb was lighting under which was a table with four chairs around it. Three of the four chairs were occupied by some men who were talking about something and laughing out loud, two of whose backs were facing Alfredo. They were so busy in their talks that they didn't notice Alfredo or his men entering the warehouse.
He then signalled his men to charge ahead which they did as silently as possible, hiding behind the cardboard boxes more to the centre of the warehouse. He then aimed at the man whose face was towards him and fired. The bullet pierced through thin air and hit him in the left part of his chest, directly above the heart maybe. Hearing the gunshot, few more of the enemy men came towards the table from different directions, but Alfredo and his men were ready for everything. Gunshots were now heard from both sides as the fight started. Soon enough, within five minutes, all of the enemies were lying down on the ground either dead or severely wounded. Alfredo then came out to the table from behind the boxes as he spoke.
"How stupid of you to think you will be able to get away after stealing Bustillos's drugs." He said as he chuckled and grinned at the people lying in front of him.
He then made his way to a man in a red t-shirt who appeared to be their leader and was now severely wounded due to the bullets that pierced through his torso.
"So, this was your plan, right?" He asked the man as he crouched down beside him.
The man in front of him kept quiet.
"See, your people died because of you. That's why people in Madrid say not to get on Bustillos's bad side." He said as he patted the man's cheek and got up and turned to leave. His men too followed behind him.
"Robert, are there any casualties?" He asked Robert, his right hand man.
"One of our men was hit by a bullet in the arm. But besides that there was no other casualty." Robert replied
"Good. Seems like our men are getting better day by day. Also, Take that injured man to the hospital immediately." He said authoritatively yet calmly.
This was the best thing about Alfredo Bustillos. Doesn't matter how cold he was, or how cruel he appeared to people outside, he would always take proper care of his men and that was one of the reasons why his men were so loyal to him and why he managed to get so much more success than his father, who also by the way, was very powerful.
With that being said, they got into the car as the driver drove away.
"Where should I take the car sir?" The driver asked him
"Home" he replied simply as he looked out of the window. It was already evening, the sun was setting and the sky was in various shades of orange and red. Alfredo looked at the skyline and let out a deep sign.
"Alfred, why do you keep acting like everything is fine, when it's not?" Robert questioned him.
Beside being Alfredo's right hand man, Robert Danon was also his best friend since his days in college. And ever since then, he never left Alfredo alone, sticking with him in all his ups and downs. And proving him his loyalty time again and again. At the time of some assignment or when they were on work, they would act professional, but otherwise they were very casual and friendly with each other.
"It's fine Rob. I am fine." He replied
"No Alfred, you can fool the world with this fake facade of yours, but not me. I have known you for years now. I know you are not happy and I even know the reason. Why don't you just talk to Uncle and Aunt about it? I am sure they will understand." Rob tried explaining Alfredo
"You really think I haven't tried to talk this out with them? Not once or twice, I tried a hundred times to make them understand that I wanted to pursue law and not get into this mafia world and take over their business. But they won't understand. So let it be. Maybe that's what fate has in store for me." Alfredo replied gloomily, still looking out of the window.
