The last few days at Brax’ pack had been fun. Veronica seemed to have earned the respect of the pack members after sacrificing herself for the pack.
She wasn’t going to lie, it felt good. Very good.
All her life, Veronica had been meant to believe she was only as good as the man on her arm. Her mother’s words of course. And that was why she’d spent her time and energy on two things.
Looks and Lovers.
But now, here, in her pack, it was like she could finally make a difference.
Though she hated being away from Brax and Wrenna. Brax was still in the Whispering Pine pack, sorting out a few things, so she was on her own, for the first time since she’d become the Alpha.
She’d even sent Jackson, Seraphina, Vivi and Nora on their way. It was time for her to be a big girl.
