Time went by excruciatingly slow as he waited for the doctors to come out of the operating room. It was bad—that’s all he knew.
After a while, the hospital doors opened and in stormed a crying Wrenna. She climbed in his lap and sobbed, and Brax held onto her like a lifeline.
