Katherine stormed out of the yoga field, her mat rolled too tightly, her fingers white from the grip. Her breath wasn’t even. Her mind definitely wasn’t. Carolina caught up to her near the garden path. “Katherine.” Katherine didn’t slow down. “Kat,” Carolina said again, more gently. “Stop. Breathe.” They both paused under a shaded archway where ivy twisted up the wooden beams. Katherine turned, still holding the mat like a weapon against her chest. “I don’t get him,” she burst out, voice sharp. “I really don’t.
