SERENA'S POV
By the time we got back to the castle I still had no idea why we’d left so early. It wasn’t even past noon. My brain kept going in circles, thinking he’d just dump me at the door of his room like always and disappear. But he didn’t. He stopped, opened the door and looked right at me.
“Come inside.”
My stomach did a weird flip. I followed, half sure he’d change his mind and shut the door in my face. He didn’t. The door clicked s**t behind me and I turned to him waiting for him to yell at me. At least do something.
