NORA Smoke curled through the skies like dark vines, choking out the stars one by one. I stood at the heart of the courtyard, the stones beneath my feet slick with blood,some of it ours, some of it theirs. The air burned with the scent of iron, fire, and ash. My hands trembled, my claws caked in red, but there was no time to stop. No time to breathe. All around me, the world was unraveling. “Hold the line!” Logan’s voice thundered across the field, fierce and desperate. But the line was already breaking.
