Love, Happiness and Urges

          Aries feels the emotions coming off of his mate. She’s scared, nervous, but most of all sad. He feels horrible and he’s not even sure why. Aries holds her face in his hands and is ready to wipe away any tear that may fall. “Please talk to me, tell me what you have been through. If you don’t like something just tell me, I don’t want you to be unhappy. I promise I will do my best to make sure you are happy and safe.” Aries pulls her back to his chest to calm himself down, he hopes it has the same effect on his mate. She cuddles into him and a wave of relief washes over him. He pulls her up, so she is resting her head on his shoulder and won’t have to speak loudly for him to hear her. With a sigh she asks, “Where would you like me to start?”. To try and keep her calm and at ease with him Aries runs his fingers through her hair and keeps doing this as he feels her relaxing into his touch. “Where would you like to start? We are in no rush.” Aria starts to talk, her voice was so soft, “Well I can’t remember when I was young very well. I remember living with Master and his wife, the lady of the house. She liked me a lot, so I needed up staying in the house with her most of the time. I would help her cook and clean and she taught me how to sew and other little thing to help her out. As I got older and started to look more like a Lady than a girl, she would hide me in a room every night and lock the door. It was a nice room, but I never understood why she took me to that room and locked the door. I never tried to run away.” “Aria did the Master and Lady of the house have any kids?” Aries asked. “Yes, they had 2 sons they were both a few years older than me I think their names were Jax and Dayn.” Aries looked into her innocent eyes and realized what the lady of the house had done for her and him. “They helped a lot around the house with the master learning how to run everything.” Aries could only respond with “I see.” “I didn’t see them very much if they were outside and the Lady and I saw them we went inside and if we were all inside it was a big enough manor that we didn’t run into them very often. Lucky for the Lady and I she had a private area we turned into a garden and we would hide in there to get away from everyone.” Aria described an enchanting garden with flowers, shrubs and trees of all kinds. She glowed talking about it and how they made it invisible to everyone else with high shrubs and trees placed just right. Apparently, they had been working on this for a long time. They had even built a little cottage in this garden that Aria could use anytime she needed to get away. She was talking so fast that Aries was having trouble keeping up. He never knew he could smile so much but the way his mate was opening up and talking to him had him overjoyed. Just then Aries had an idea, “What if we made you your very own garden here?” Aria Just looked at him in a very questioning way, “Are you sure that’s ok? I don’t want to get in trouble or get you in trouble.” Aries let out a laugh, “No little one we won’t get in trouble. We can make it in the woods by were I train the new recruits, that way you’re not too far away from me and you don’t have to stay in the room all day.” Aria started to smile, it wasn’t big, but it was a start. “I would love that” Aria whispered. Aries was pleased to know she liked the idea and it made him content knowing she would be close by.

          They both were cuddling on the bed when a knock on the door brought them out of their trance. Aries got up leaving Aria on the bed to see who it was. He opens the door to find Ma standing there with tray of food.  “Don’t tell me you forgot dinner?” she chuckled. Aries stepped back and let ma in. she walked over to the only thing in his room you could call a table and set the food down. “How is he treating you miss?” Ma gave Aries that look that say you better be a perfect gentleman, or she was going to have words with me. Aries grinned at her and waved his hand to his mate showing ma he had nothing to hide. Aria looked surprised that Aries was letting her answer freely. She is starting to grasp that thing are doing to be different from now on. Aria looks at Aries and back to Ma, “He has been very kind and very patient with me.”  This brought a smile to Ma’s face; Dragons aren’t known for either of those qualities. “I’m glad he is keeping his dragon side under control. I bet your hungry miss, it's been a long day and you last ate around lunch.” Aria had been enjoying her time with Aries so much she didn’t even notice she was getting hungry. Aria Looks to Aries for permission to get up and eat, he gives a nod of his head towards the food and Aria slowly makes her way off the very big bed. Ma starts making her a plate, “Do you like everything there?” Aria looks at ma and says, “I’m not sure what everything is.” Ma giggles a little and starts telling her all the dishes she brought up. There was a fruits and veggies on one tray and then a few others with meats. Ma motioned over to Aries, “I brought most of the meat for him but don’t let him eat it all. Well I have work back in the kitchen I will send someone up after a while to come get what's left.” Ma walked over to the door and looked back at the 2 new mates and smiled before heading out.

          Aries didn’t have really any furniture in his room, so Aria finished putting a few things on her plate that looked really good and she even took a little bit of meat to see if she liked it. Aries went back to the bed and gestured to her to come sit on the bed with him again. With almost no hesitation she walked back over to the bed. Aries held her plate in one hand and helped her on the bed with the other. She sat down so she was in front of him, but her side was resting on his chest. He set her food on her lap and started talking while she started to eat. “Looks like I could use some help making his room a little more suitable for a lady, would you like to help me with that?” Aria looked and him like he just spoke another language. “But this is your room.” Aries stopped and corrected her before she could say anything else, “This is Our room. It's not just mine anymore. It plenty big enough for the both of us. We can go to the market tomorrow afternoon and get you anything you need or would like to make this place feel more like home for you.” Aria was still giving him a strange look, “Are you sure your ok with that?” Aria questioned. Aries gave her a big smile and said “Yes, I am more than ok with that. I would be over the moon if you made yourself at home with me.” Aries kissed her forehead and let her finish eating, he waited till she had her fill before finishing off what was left. He sat there wondering if the reason dragons called their mates pet names like mouse, dove, kitten and a few others was because of the very small amount they ate? He laughed to himself at his inside joke. He sat there watching his mate finish up the last of her food and wondered if there is anything she could do that isn’t fascinating to him. Aria looked up and saw him watching her. Even though she has become comfortable around him she still gets a little nervous when he stares at her like that. Aries took her plate when she was done and placed it on the platter with everything else that was to go back to the kitchen. He walked back over to Aria and picked her up off the bed and place he on the ground, you can go freshen up in the washroom. She nodded and walked over to the door as Aries went back to the table. She walked in and saw the basin had a steady stream of water coming from what looked like the wall. She placed her hands under the stream and to her surprise it was warm. She washed her face and used a nearby cloth to dry off. Aries came to the door and it dawned on her that she had nothing to wear for bed. “Aries umm what will I wear to sleep in? It’s getting kind of late.” Aries thought for moment and went to his closet and picked out a plan cream colored shirt. It will be big on her, but it will cover everything. He took it back to Aria and when he handed it to her she still looked a little nervous. “Do you think you can help me?” Aria turned around and he remembered she had all that lacing on the back of her dress. Aries slowly stepped towards her and started loosening the laces. Once the dress started to slide off of her Aria held it up and said she could do the rest. Aries to that as a sign to step out and let her finish dressing privately. He walked over to the platter still on the table and decided to set it outside the door so no one would need to disturb them. Once done he turned around to head to bed but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw his little mate wearing his shirt. The emotions flowing through him where primal and hard to control. He let out a low growl of approval. Aria walked to the bed and sat on the edge not sure what to do. “What’s wrong?” Aries was not sure what was wrong or what she was thinking. “I have never slept in a bed with someone else” Aria spoke as if she wasn’t sure if this was a good or bad thing. Aries looked at her and said, “I have never shared this bed with anyone else. You will be the first person I have let lay next to me.” Aria looked at him in surprise, dragons are known for their carnal urges. Aries saw the look on her face and laughed, “I know what you’re thinking and yes we do have a strong s****l side to us but that side of me doesn’t come back to my personal chamber. And now that I have found you, you are all I will ever need.”  Aria smiled at Aries’s words. He was being honest with her and she was happy for that and he had boundaries. “Do we have to do anything tonight . .” Aria was worried Aries was expecting his needs to be met. Aries looked into Aria’s eyes, “We don’t have to do anything you don’t want to.” Aria let out a breath she didn’t even realize she was holding. “I have waited so long for you I don’t want to do anything to mess this up, so I can wait as long as you need.” Aria smiled and they crawled into bed. Aries wrapped his arms around his tiny mate, putting him at ease knowing she was safe with him. His urges where still near the surface and having his mate so close to him wearing his clothes was driving him crazy on the inside, “This is going to be a long night.” He thought to himself.
