Dreaming of Becoming A Vampire

The Arrival

We arrived at the café and everyone was there waiting on us.

“We found another note waiting on us when we got there.” ShaSha said.

No one read it yet so I also told them about Sami’s note and what it said. They all was a little confused and we got Sami up to speed with what everyone secrets were and then she got ready to tell us hers before we read the next note from the mystery person or group.

“Ok I guess since I know what all you, I should now tell you mine. That way you could tell me what you have been keeping from me. Well I am a witch and I have known I was one since I was five years old. I come from a long line of Salam witches. I just don’t understand something how does this group or person know so much about us if we never told anyone about this? Plus, why are Haven and Kenzie in danger just for having things in their heritage if it isn’t affecting them now.”

“Well I think I can answer for myself since I found that part out after last night when most of you left my house. Adam told me that if I sleep and get bitten by a vampire at the same time it will awaken my vampire inside me. So I guess my dream of becoming a vampire can come true after all.”

They all laughed and then still no one had any answers to all the questions that were in the air. Then Haven spoke up.

“I think I might know what I have to do with all of this I got to looking into some of my family records online last night. You will not believe what I found out about my family. I have a sister that I didn’t know I have that was taken by her father to become a hunter like him. Since my mother’s family no longer wanted to be hunters they took my mother and my sister away with them since my mother wasn’t married to my sister’s dad. Then when my mother met my dad and fell in love she had me. So I am part hunter but they think I am the missing hunter that will bring honesty to the hunters. It’s like a half breed in the hunter’s world so my grandmother told me. I never put much thought into it till now.” Haven explained.

“Well that helps out a lot Haven. Some of what was said in one of the notes now makes some since.” Adam announced.

“Ok now that we have all are stories out there and we knowing everything about each other it’s time we work together like we are used to doing. Covering each other’s backs just like always. I think we need to do what Adam thought of last night. Putting security cameras everywhere and have them linked to my house and to Adams house since Adam’s brothers will be arriving soon to help all of us out. Let’s take a vote to see what everyone thinks of that and to see if there is anything else we can do.”

They all agreed to the cameras and then Sami had an idea that she thinks might help as well. “Ok Sami let’s hear what you have to say. Then we will send Adam to go get all the security cameras that we will need.”

“Well I was thinking I could put some wards on everyone’s house so no one can come in if they mean to do you harm.”

“That actually sounds like a really good idea.”

“Ok then I will have to get all the supplies to do everyone’s house.” Sami said.

“So is there anything else that we need to talk about before we get ready for work.”

“Yes.” Dillion spoke up.

“What about the other note we just got.”

“Oh yeah I forgot about that since we started talking about some safety issues first. Adam you read it.”

Adam read the note a loud. You all need to just give up now. None of you have a chance to make it through this a live but one of you. I think by now you know who that one person will be. It will also be the one who will learn that she has the power to end this all. She can save one other person before it’s too late for her. She just has to kill Adam before he takes her. The others must die as well since they are endangering humans. They shouldn’t be here and letting them live would be wrong. It’s time to make the world safe once and for all.

Haven about had a heart attack when she heard all of this.

“They can’t make me kill anyone and I won’t become a hunter like them. I want proof that someone is putting humans endanger and if they are just willing to kill off people without really knowing if they hurt anyone that makes them just as bad as the ones they said are killing humans.” Haven said.

“We will get through this just like we would anything else. Haven we will be there for you just like you will be there for us. We all have been friends for a long time.”

“How can we be so sure that she won’t change on us if her half-sister comes and talks to her about it all? I have children that I have to think about and I don’t want to see them hurt. Besides they haven’t shown any kind of signs that they have power.”

“I understand that and we all love those kids of yours ShaSha. They are in away all of our children since we all have been watching over them.” I said to her and Dillion.

“I would never hurt those kids I love them so much and I wouldn’t let anyone hurt them either. Plus, I have never meet this so called sister, I have no idea what she is like or if we are anything a like for that matter. I don’t know anything about her. So why would I help someone I don’t know when they are trying to hurt the people I care about the most.”

“Ok you made your point Haven.” ShaSha had to agree.

“Hey I’m going to get the stuff that I need. My brothers are going to meet me here if they get into town today.”

Well then Casey showed up for his shift and looked around to see everyone here.

“Did I miss a meeting?”

“No we just haven’t had a gathering like this in a while.”

“I will come back to help set the kitchen up with you.” Dillion said to Casey.

The girls got ready for the morning customers and I went to the office to get the online orders printed off so I could get started on those. Sami left because she had afternoon shift and she wanted to get started getting the things she needed for her spell on the houses. Plus, our friend Anna starts today for the evening shift. She wanted to work part time while she went to school for being a doctor. So we all made sure that she shouldn’t be told anything about what’s going on. That we just need to keep her safe. Her boyfriend Russell we all think he is gay. So far he treats her good. We don’t tell her that we think her boyfriend is gay. We keep that to ourselves so we don’t hurt her feelings.

Next thing I hear is someone yelling at Haven and telling her that she is in the wrong business.

“Hey you needed to get out front before Haven loses it on this customer. This customer is in Haven’s face.”

ShaSha said with a shocked look on her face. So I walk up front and there is this guy getting right into Haven’s face.

“I should have you fired and I’m not paying for this s**t of a breakfast.”

The man yelled. Oh that just sent me over the edge. I walked over to them.

“What is the problem here?”

Haven seen in my eyes I was pissed off and she knew it wasn’t with her.

“Haven to go to the back and I will deal with this customer.”

Then he made the mistake.

“Yeah get your ass into the back where you belong.”

“Sir there is no need to talk to her that way. You need to sit your ass down and shut your trap until she is in the back or I will let her come back and kick your ass out of my place.”

He laughed but sat down.

“Now what seems to be the problem that you are having? Since I am the owner here and never had anyone say my stuff is bad then I can’t see you having a problem with my food here. I can see that we have a problem with your behavior in my place. So pay your bill then gets your ass out and never come back.”

I didn’t see that Adam’s brothers just showed up as the guy pushed me into the counter.

“I’m not paying and would be back to collect for protection or things was going to get bad around here.”

Well Sam seen him pushes me and grab the man.

“Do we have a problem here?”

“Yeah we do.” the man said. If you don’t let go of me you are next to have the problem.”

Sam turns the man around to face him.

“You will pay her and then leave and never come back. If I hear that you are trying to get money from anyone around here I will find you.”

Then the man paid me and left.

“Thank you. You must be Adam’s brothers.”

“Yes I’m Adam’s older brother and these are the others. So does that make you Kenzie?”

“I am Kenzie. It’s nice to meet all of you.”

“Hello I am Sam and this is Jake and Trent as you knows we are Adam’s brothers.”

“Adam will be back soon why don’t you guys find a table and I will get you guys something to eat on the house for your helping me out.”

They took a table and I sent Haven out to wait on them. After then ate and was drinking some coffee Adam showed back up and came to the office to find me. Kissed me and smiled.

“I’m back was everything ok?”

“No I had a little problem with some guy yelling and threaten Haven and saying I was going to have to pay him some money then he pushed me.”

I could see Adam getting mad at this point.

“Then three nice guys came in and they helped out the situation. I think you know them they say they are your brothers.”

“So you met my brothers did you?”

“Yes, and they are out there waiting on you.”

Then Adam walked out to sit with his brothers and have a cup of coffee with them. Till It was time for me to leave.
