Henry glared at his brother as their mom and Cynthia walked away. He couldn’t believe Ryan said Cynthia didn’t belong there. Ryan had no idea what it was like to be in love with someone. He had no right to tell her she wasn’t welcome, especially when their mother was the one who invited her over.
“What is wrong with you?” Henry growled when he thought the women were far enough away.
Ryan’s eyes went to Henry, then back to the hallway. “I’m sorry.”
“What?” Henry asked, shocked.
Ryan shook his head then followed the women down the hall. Henry trailed his brother, wondering what was going on with him. He and Ryan were never particularly close, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t there for him.
