Taking the locket from her I looked in her eyes only to see pain it broke my heart seeing my mate that way, but I didn't know how to console her. taring my eyes from her tear ridden face I looked down at the locket that now laid in the palm of my hand an inscription etched in the front:

To our loving daughter Kiora

may you always find the sunshine in the rain

love you always

mom and dad

Looking up I locked eyes with my mate, "Kiora?!" I breathed watching her closely for her reaction. She nodded trying to wipe away the tears. "I am Zander love."

Kiora leaned towards me placing a hand on my chest, "Za-Zander" she said her voice cracking and stumbling over the words turning her head to hide her disappointment in her self.

Placing my hand over hers I gave it a small squeeze letting her know that we would get through this together. I couldn't hold it against her she was raised by wolves not weres. She then took in a deep breathe and reached for the locket quickly unclasping the latch and laying it open in my hand.

Looking down at the locket I saw two small little photos tucked away inside; the first one had a couple that were looking lovingly into each others eyes they looked so happy, and the second one had the same couple embracing an adorable little girl. glancing back up at Kiora I knew instantly that the little girl in the photo was her and therefore the other two must have been her parents.

Reaching up to my mate I let the locket go clattering to the floor of my truck and wrapped my arms tightly around Kiora's shaking body. Wanting so badly to take away her pain and suffering I held her there rubbing gentle circles into back while my other hand cradled her head against my chest;my finger massaging her head trying to calm her down.

'Hey Zander, we are going to head home cause k see you when you get there.' I suddenly heard Ian and Ryan through the mind link I had completely forgotten they were here with me.

Sighing, 'Yeah, you guys go ahead. we will be a long shortly.'

"I finally found you, my little mate." I whispered as looked down to see that she had fallen asleep in my arms.

Trying not to wake her sat her down in the trucks passenger seat and russled around until I found a blanket buried behind the seats. Walking back around to her I wrapped the blanket around her and shook my head. This was going to be a struggle I could already see it teaching her how to live with people again. Sighing I ran my hand through my hair tossling it as the extent of this new project of mine would be; starting with getting her clothes I can't have her wandering through the pack naked all the time.

Trying to not to imagine that I quickly climbed in and started the engine glancing over to see if Kiora was still a sleep. Seeing that she was I smiled It had been a long day for her and she needed her rest. Pulling out of the small parking area for the territory I headed home.

Quicker then I thought we had arrived at the pack house pulling up I parked the truck and cut the engine looking over at Kiora. Siting there I just watched as slept the blanket the only thing covering her slowly rose and fell with her steady breathing. Taring my eyes away I open my door an slipped out looking at the entrance to the pack house.

To my dismay there was my mother talking with Felicity the pack doctor and Ian's mate. Oh I loved my mother,but ever since dad died she always had to be right in the middle of everything always trying to tell me how how to run my pack; I mean it has been what almost 5 years since I took over.Grumbling I started walking towards the two woman but not before glancing in the truck to make sure Kiora was still sleeping.

"Oh for heavens sake must the you always sit and gossip in the middle of the path." I ranted as I marched over to them staring daggers at my mother.

Giving me a smile and wave of her hand "Oh hush, we only wanted to meet mate" she backfired voice laced with honey.

Urgh, of course she must of weasled it out of Ryan; he never could keep anything from her no matter how hard he tried. Exasperated I ran my hand down my face. I couldn't deal with her antics right now I need to get Kiora to my room so she can rest and I can start to make her some what presentable before telling the pack they finally have their Luna.

"Just go mother you shall meet her in good time right now I am taking her to my room so she can rest. And please don't make me use my alpha voice on you." I gritted my teeth trying my best to stay calm as pleaded with her leave.

"Fine I'll go but I want to meet her in the soon I can only hold out so long." she reminded me as she gave me a brief hug before scurrying off with Felicity in tow.

Exhausted I let me shoulders shulmp forward as I headed back to the truck to fetch my sleeping mate. Opening the door I let out I sigh of relief she was still sound asleep and hadn't heard any of that. Scooping her up with blanket I turned and shut the door with the other. Walking inside she snuggle closer to me burring her face in my chest. Getting my my room I shifted her around so i could open the door all while taking in her amazing scent.

Placing Her on the bed I leaned in to kiss her forehead before going to take care of some myself in the bathroom. Half way to the bathroom I kept hesitating and turning back afraid that if I left her for to long she would disappear and all of this would be a dream.
