Kiora p.o.v. "I understand how you feel Zander but....." A female voice I don't recognize "DON'T TELL ME YOU UNDERSTAND MEL, YOU HAVE NO IDEA!" Zander my love wait why is he yelling. "No Alpha I don't but, I do.......," a pause something is happening. Grrr, why do my eyes feel so damn heavy? I want to know what is going on. "I do know that your mate, our luna, has suffered greatly. Moving too fast is causing her to panic causing great anxiety.... and if that anxiety comes to great.......," she trailed off. "I understand doctor," He heaved a heavy sigh, "I just I can't lose her, not even if it's to herself or her past, I mean I just found her." His voice catching as spoke of me like I was dying or leaving. No, Zander, I would never leave you I love you. No matter how badly I wanted to go console my mate I just couldn't move; It felt like someone had buried me beneath a mountain. I opened my mouth to tell I'm here for you but nothing came out. Screaming inwardly along with my wolf I felt so trapped. Panic slowly overtook as I tried to push and claw my way out of my own body. Hot salt filled tears threatened to spill over. 'No, tears won't help anything now' I screamed at myself as the dam broke,'I'll how to be a part of your world I swear please, just let me be with you." Before I could even think I was crashing to my knees inside my head. balling my hands into fists I let my feeling control them. Pounding my fists against the walls of my mind I let my wails blend with the whimpers of my wolfs as we struggled to release ourselves from this prison. Zander p.o.v. Waking away from the doc I went to sit back beside her taking her hand in mine. "Kiora, please wake up baby I'll take it slower. Please, Kitten, I can't lose you." I whisper feathering kisses across her knuckles. Setting her hand back down I leaned in to place a kiss on her cheek only to came back tasting something sweet and salty. Confused I brought my hand up to my lips as I shifted my gaze to my mates cheeks. They glistened with the sheen of fresh tears. 'What tears, how could she be crying if she was out cold?' "Melanie, she is crying, she's crying" I shouted for the doctor. In a matter of seconds, she came barreling back into the room. Without saying anything to me she started with things, I have no idea how to work, as she poked and prodded Kiora. All the while I paced nervously about what she was going to say when she was done. Unable to take the wait any more I exited the room and walked over to the small little waiting room. It was mostly used for expecting fathers and families. 'Oh, how I wish that was the case now.' 'I know, I feel the same but, we need to be strong for them so we can have that moment.' my wolf, who has been silently pacing in worry around my head, finally speaking up with some much-needed words of wisdom. Nodding in agreement I sat down in one of the chairs. Leaning forward I place my head in my hands as I silently sending a prayer to the moon goddess. Kiora p.o.v. My fists sore and bloody I continued my assault wanting, no needing to wake up. Body shaking with my cries, I failed to notice someone come to stand behind me. "Hush, my child, you shall wake soon," a strong feminine voice sounded from behind me as a hand that instantly calmed my soul was placed on my shoulder. At the touch I instantly stopped whipped my head around, "But first I would like to talk if that would be okay?" I have no idea how long I sat there staring at her my mouth gaping wide unable to find a way to speak let alone the words. The goddess with all her glory stood before me while I sat there beating myself up. She was beyond gorgeous. It was as if someone grabbed a shooting star right out of the sky and sculpted it into a female form with various wolf features. Her long auburn chestnut locks wrapped delicately around her curves. Flowers and vines entwined themselves throughout her tresses and her dress. An almost sheer curve-hugging dress fell gracefully at her feet complementing her lightly tanned skin perfectly. Three large whitish-grey tails swung behind her in tandem hypnotically. Everything about her was so breathtakingly beautiful it left you practically paralyzed at first glaze but her eyes those are what really dragged you in. Wolfish in shape they held an eery yet beautiful appeal with their silver-blue hue that made them shine like the moon. Quickly shaking my head I lower myself into a bow needing to show my respect. Kneeling down beside me she gave my shoulder a squeeze, "There is no need of that my dear," she rose pulling me with her before turning and starting to walk away, "Now come my child we must speak." She called over her shoulder beckoning me to follow her. We walk in silence for a while as I watched mesmerized as the ground beneath our feet became lush green grass and flowers as we walk. Coming to a small stream we followed it deep into some woods that seemed to appear out of thin air. Before I knew it we were stopping. I couldn't believe my eyes I was staring at a masterpiece, a pristine lake, dotted with plants and wildlife and at the centre of it all a waterfall thundered down with all its glorious might bringing the sound of the forest together in pure harmony. The goddesses gentle laughter bringing me back I quickly sat beside her dipping my feet in the water. "Now Kiora my dear, I know that you have had a rough start with your life with losing your parents and growing up alongside regular wolves. I did that for you even if you don't see it yet I did. something is coming and you need to be on guard," listening to her I wasn't sure how to wrap my head around it all, "You and Zander are the keys to stopping whatever it is. Yes, I know I am leaving you with more questions than answers but all I can tell you as of yet is that you are going to need to lead your pack the one that raised you into war alongside Zanders'. I need you to be accepted as his Luna as soon as possible 'cause the dark forces that are conspiring in the shadows are blocking my sight of the future; I have no idea when they might launch their attack." Shoving my still blood cover hands to my face as I let out a loud exasperated sigh as I raked my fingers through my hair. "I understand, but how? I mean look at me I can't stand the feel of clothes. Communication is nothing more than grunts and gestures. Goddess I would love to help and do my part but I don't see how that is even possible." I didn't notice the tears running streams down my cheeks until she pulled me into a hug. As she rubbed small circles into my back I felt a calming warmth wash over me. Pulling away I wiped the stray tears away before meeting her captivating gaze once more. "I know my child, that is why I am bestowing you a gift. I wish I could have given you this from the start, but I hope you can forgive me," placing a finger on my forehead she mumbled something indecisive as a wave of light pulsed through to me, "I give you the gift of your parents and the life I wanted to give you." With my eyes wide I watched as she faded away leaving me to relive my life through memories. Memories of birthdays, family outings, of school, friends, my pack, but most of all my parents my beautiful and loving parents. These were the memories the should have been but never were and they left me broken yet soaring higher than ever before. As the last of the memories played out I started to feel a heavy weight crushing down on my chest. Wincing in pain I opened my eyes only to be blinded momentarily by the bright lights shining down. After adjusting to the light I open my eyes to see that I was in an unfamiliar room but Zander was there sleeping soundly his head on my chest. Finally, I was back and now we needed to prepare for whatever was headed our way. Smiling to myself, "But that can wait one more night." I whispered as I ran my fingers through his hair watching my mate sleep. Leaning back against the pillows behind me a closed my eyes relishing in this moment 'cause who knows how many more of these we will have.
