Chapter 30: Karma is here~

We both can’t watch the whole video, the man wearing the mask really did something terrible on the other man. My stomach can’t take it all, and I can feel my knees was shaking not because I am scared but the thing, he did is unacceptable.

From the video, the man still trying his best to escape. Crawling on the cold ground trying to stand up even so much blood running down from his head, if only I can go inside the computer, I will do it and help him but I can’t do it.

When the wounded man holds in the railings, the man in the masks smash his head again using the metal bat. Reason for the other man to out his balance and fall, reason why he’s in the top of the white car in the first floor.

“This is insane.” The young man said with disbelief and horror plastered in his face.

Even I, can’t believe neither accept what the scene we watched. He brutally killed the other man and I didn’t not even see any hesitation in his action while smashing it.

“I know, but how can we know who he is if the face is covered by mask.” I frustratedly ask.

“Like I said, they will never easy let someone will know who they are. Do you really not believe in what I am saying until now? Are you really relying in this kind of thing? Do you really think they are not familiar in every corner of this University when they kill people here?” He said.

“There is nothing to lose if I expect that this video will help me, at least I know what is really happen and why he’s in the top of the car.” I said.

Exactly when my phone rang, a call from Cornel.

“Hello,” I answer, “what the news down there? Did you see something strange?” I ask him.

“Nothing much, but there is a metal bat here and something written here.” He said, “come back here soon, the other team really doing there best to see some clue but I know they will not share it with us.”

I look at the middle ages man.

“Can I have a copy of the video from left CCTV camera to the second floor?”

“Sure, but can you wait so I can transfer it? Or do you have any flash drive to save it?” He asked.

“Yes, I have one.” I take out the flash drive in my pocket, maybe this time this person really gives me the exact video we watch not like the other guards back then. “Here, thank you for your help tonight.”

“It not much, so far my wife said I should quit the job here. She was afraid maybe next time I am the one who died, but can I ask Officer?”

“What is it?” I answered.

“Why there is no news about what happening here? I’m afraid I did a wrong thing when I said all about the crime to my wife.” He said.

“Then you must stop your wife spread it to others, and it much better if you will quit this job immediately, Sir.” The young man seriously said. “When the school know about this, they will be upset and I don’t know what can be happened.” He added.

“Why are you saying that to him?”

“What? I am just trying to warn him, officer because I am telling the truth. The University does not want the news to spread and if his wife spread about it then they will take action and in the worst case, his wife accused as spreading a fake news.” He explains.

“Oh no, I must tell this to my wife and I will start to search for a new job.” He said, “and here is your flash drive, hope you can catch the culprit right away.” He smiled.

“Thank you. Let’s go my partner called and he said that there is metal bat down there and something was written on it.” I said and start to walk.

I don’t know but I feel chills while we are walking back to the parking lot, I feel like someone watching us.

“Don’t stop to walk Mr. Officer, don’t mind the thing you are feeling right now. Don’t let them realize that you know we are being watch by someone.” He whispers and walk like he doesn’t bother. “that is the only thing you can do for now, fool them like how they fool you.”

I stopped my self from looking at my back even I can feel it, I can feel that someone really watching us from behind.

I don’t know, but I feels the chill in my body. I am part of police team but I can’t still handle the way how that man kills the victim and now being watch by who don’t know the person is.

“I said calm down, I can say that you still aware that someone is watching us.” I lost in thinking when he suddenly speaks.

“Kid, what do you want me to do then? I can’t help when I am fully aware that there is someone who is really to attack us from behind.” I whisper.

“Do you think he or she will attack us now? C’mon, I never knew you are lack of common-sense Officer.” He rudely said.

“What did you say, brat? I am an officer and older than you, don’t say something like that again in the future.” I sneered but the smirk.

“They will not attack us right now; this part can see clearly in the CCTV room and also you have many people in the parking lot. Killing you is not still in their plan, as of now.” He sighed, “So, what do you think about my offer?”

“I will still think about it, I don’t know what information you want to me so it’s hard for me to decide but if you will tell me in advance what you want then it is more convenient for us.” I said.

“So, if I tell you what information I want you will decide now?” He asks.

I stop walking in the corridor and face him, “yes I will decide right away when I can share the information you want but not here because someone will know about it, like we both know we are being watch by someone.”

“Then it’s good to hear, let’s talk when both of us have a time for now go to your friend, Mr. Officer.” He said and walk where the school principal is.

I see Cornel wave his hand, telling me to come over where he was.

“What?” I said when finally, closer to him.

“Why are you talking with that student seriously? Is there a problem up there, did you see anything in the CCTV?” He asks, he really want to know.

“Well, I did see how horrible the kill the man and about the young boy I will tell you later. So where is the metal bat you talking about?” I change the subject.

“Jeez, why are you changing the subjects. They already put it on the bag and they will try to examine if there any finger prints left but I took some pictures, here.” He handed his cellphone to me. “Geez, sorry some of the picture if blurry you know I have no good phone as of now.” He was trying to explain.

“No, it’s okay you always say sorry for everything like you did something bad, stop doing that.” I said awhile trying to read the words in the picture. I thankful that at least it still readable, if ever not I will smack Cornel.

“Your forehead says it all, it is hard to read right? That is why I am sorry about this one again.” He said but I pat his shoulder.

“No, I already read it.” I said and smile. “Karma is here better getting ready.” I whisper to him.

“So, it is really revenge for something? So, what is really happening here?” Cornel look in his left and right, “I think someone died here but they also block the news to spread it. What do you think, maybe I am correct right?” He said while grinning. “But never mind, it is impossible that information about it leak if something happened like that.

“You must correct, maybe really someone died here reason why someone try to get revenge in people here. If that really happened then we need to search a case about this University years ago.” I said and look where the young student is.

“Why are you looking again to him, you need an explanation.” I laugh because of what he said.

“You sounded like my b*tch dude. Don’t worry I will tell you everything once we got to the station, so let’s go?” I said when I see that the other team are also ready to leave.

“Oh! Mr. Officer, are you going too?” The Principal ask us, I just nodded.

“Yes, we have still many things to do right now.” I answer.

“Ah! Okay, okay be careful on the road.” He said so we start to walk when someone hold my shirt.

“Officer, don’t forget to contact me when you decided. You and I have no assurance how much days we have to live.” He said.

“What do you mean?” I asked but he just smile.

“Be careful, both of you must careful and please decide before something bad happened to me.” He said and walk away left us both Cornel dumbfounded.
