Chapter 15: Game start!

Kiro’s POV

They was about to leave when something fell and roll up to the floor, I bend down and pick it up. Shock overwhelmed me when I saw a bottle of sleeping pills. Ashley's boyfriend immediately came over and took the bottle from me; it didn't even act of any shock or anything.

“Why do you have that? Haven't you slept well these past few days?” Asking me, I need to know why he was carrying so much all the way to school.

He immediately shook his head, "It's not mine, because Natasha left it on her table earlier so I took it to give when we met.” He explains.

"Who is Natasha, is she also your friend? Is she also Ashley's friend?" I question again.

"Yes, she's our friend but they're not friends with Ashley, all I know is that Christian and she used to be friends but since the first circle of their friends was broken, they don't talk again." He persistent to answer my entire questions, but because of his answer I felt intense curiosity about the aforementioned broken circle of friends.

"Can I know who their old friends are?" For the third time i asked.

They looked at each other as if wondering if they would spell the names one by one. Only Ashley's roommate seems to know nothing about that.

"Well, Ashley and Christian are also friends with Troy. We don't know why they die one after the other; some of our classmates are scared because there might be a curse." He added that the others with him nodded.

"I mean, Troy who fell on the 4th floor his friends are also connected to Ashley and Christian?" Clarifying to him, and he nodded his head.

"Can we leave now, Mr. Lorente?" A woman asked so I just let them go and said I would just call them again if needed again in the investigation.

When they came out of the office, I immediately looked at the School representative, who immediately opened the record book he was carrying. He flipped through its pages until he reached the center and handed us the notebook. Various contact numbers are written there.

I looked at it one by one and there I saw the familiar names. Williams, Felix and Ericka, I immediately opened the book I was carrying and there was also their contact number. I want to be angry with myself because I already have the contact numbers of people who can be the answer to the mysterious happening now.

"What's the matter, did you notice anything weird about those?" Even Cornel couldn't wait and approached me.

"Let's talk in the office." I whispered to him and we both glanced at the student who was still in the room, he smiled as if to say that he was happy that Cornel and I were leaving.

I stood up and faced the man and smiled as well.

"Thank you so much for helping us today, we're leaving to reduce your workload." I'm joking; I just don't understand why they let the student representative do the job that should be done by a high -ranking University official.

"You are welcome, hope I really help you with the investigation you did and interviewing them, if you still need help this is my contact number as school representative." Again, it smiled like it was good but behind it I knew it was saying we shouldn’t call him.

I couldn't help but laugh for a moment and took the card he was handing me, "thank you, I'll make sure we call you right away when we need to know about this."

We waved goodbye and started walking down the hall of the University but no one spoke to either Cornel and me, as discussed we had to be careful in talking about the case in a public place especially inside the place where we investigate.

When we got in the car, we seemed to be breathing easy and we were sure that no one was watching us or we could be killed suddenly.

"So what's your plan now that we've found out that the three dead are connected? Do you think it's really just a simple curse or are they hiding a bad story of the past?" Cornel immediately asked, it is obvious that he is excited about what will happen next because of what we have learned today. But I also can’t deny that I’m also excited for what we’ll find out next.

Not that we want someone to die again, but we can't stop that if there is another. Whether there will be another incident later or tomorrow and they are still connected to the three of them we have a strong lead in the cases, it is not impossible to fight the root cause of what is happening to them who were once friends.

"For now let's see what else we can find out, it's difficult for us to act immediately just because the three of them are connected. How long has it been since their circle of friendship split, what is the origin, who is it first leave, why did they leave, we need to know that all.” I said to Cornel with a sigh.

 "I thought we were closer to the truth than we are to the truth, how long will it be before this case is resolved? When they are all dead?" Disgusted he says.

"You will also see your baby and your wife when we finish this, so we need to quickly find who really has the courage to kill a lot of students and even inside the University.

What if one of them is the University representative? or is he really a professor and culprit? How do we know right away if they can be trusted or not, there are so many people here.” Cornel said in frustration.

"Then we need to be especially careful." I smiled, "and it's better to play the game they started."
