Finding Love Again

Chapter 11

“So I met Kali last night” I said to Sarah while setting up the cafe for service the next morning. 

“I’m sorry, say what now?!” 

“Yep. Cody’s mum invited her! How nuts is that! I think I won her over by the end of the night, Kali stormed out anyway. I just don’t need extra drama. I had so many issues with Chantelle, Matthew’s sister, I just don’t want it to happen again. I really like him Sarah”

“I know you do, I can tell. I haven’t seen you this happy for so long. Keep fighting, I think he is worth it” 

“I think he is too.” I smiled. “So how is Tom? Are you guys official yet?” 

“Oh I don’t know. I mean we aren’t seeing anyone else, but he won’t have the talk” she said, making air quotes as she did. 

We gossiped about our love lives until open when we were way too busy to keep chatting. Around 10am, right on time the boys walked in for their morning tea break. 

“Morning favourite coffee girls! Soph! I hear you met the ever inviting Jill! Have fun?” Tom said with a smirk.

“Oh yeah was a blast” I rolled my eyes, Cody had obviously told him all about our night. I came out from behind the counter, grabbing Cody by the waist. My boss wasn’t here so I could sneak in a quick kiss. 

“How you feeling baby? You were gone already when I woke for work. I’m really sorry about my mum. The more I’ve thought about it today the angrier I’ve gotten”

“Honestly, it’s ok. I’m fine! I’m sure she will come around”

Just then Cody’s phone rang, he looked at it and I could see it said ‘mum’ on the screen. He hesitated, before answering, as I gave him a nod. While he chatted I walked back behind the counter. 

“So Tom, when are you going to make an honest woman out of my best friend?” I asked, winking at Sarah. He stumbled over his words not really coming up with an answer and Sarah glared at me. I just laughed, looking to Cody as he walked back over. 

“So, how do you feel about a weekend away?” “What? Like I mean sure.. but what’s the catch?”

“Mum invited us to my parents holiday house. Last weekend of the summer, there’s a carnival in town. It’s a family tradition. I wasn’t going to go, but my mother has invited the both of us to join the family. Hayley and Ash will be coming too, I think it’s her way of trying to move forward after her epic fail last night.” 

“Well, I mean sure. I have the weekend off so why not. It can’t be any worse than last night can it?” 

“Surely not! Ok, well we better get back to site before our boss gets cranky. Actually I grab a caramel slice for him, keep him calm.” He laughed. “See you after work beautiful.” With that they were gone. I wasn’t entirely sure a weekend away with Cody’s family was the best idea, but what can go wrong! 

After work I went to the gym, went home to do some housework and then was cooking dinner when Cody walked in. I served up dinner right on time for him to take his shoes off and sit down. 

“I could get used to this! Every mans dream” he joked with me. We finished eating and I cleared away the table, stacking up the dishes. Cody came in behind me snaking his hands around my waist, kissing my neck. “Baby, leave them, I’ll do them later. But right now I need a shower and I’d love for you to join me” 

I leaned my head back and slightly to the side to give him better access to my neck. “Mmm is that right?” 

He responded by kissing up my neck, towards my ear, his hands snaking under my top, caressing my stomach. I turned around so we were now facing each other, I kissed him deeply. Then grabbed his hand, leading him to the bathroom. Once we were in there I turned the taps on to get the water perfect, turning back to Cody I lifted my singlet off, leaving me in leggings and bra. I stepped in to him, pulling off his top. Kissing him again and running my hands across his chest. Slowly we continued to undress each other and stepped into the shower, our lips hardly parting and hands exploring all over each other’s bodies. As the water fell over us, I took the wash cloth, lathering it up and cleaning his body. We kissed and laughed and kissed some more. “You know, I’ve never had s*x in the shower” I whispered into his ear. “First time for everything my love”. With that he grabbed my ass, pushing me against the shower wall, kissing me harder and more passionately than before. I felt his excitement grow as he fondled my breasts, he lifted my legs, wrapping them around his body, allowing him the access to push himself inside of me. It was pure ecstasy as always as pumped slowly at first. Our moans almost in sync, the water still cascading, Cody sped up his movements, the faster and harder he went, the more I felt my climax growing. He pumped once more, twice more and before I could control it I was moaning out loud as I came to my end. Cody followed soon after. I unwrapped my legs from him, almost stumbling. Cody leant against new, heaving as he too recovered. We turned off the water, each grabbing a towel to dry. “So, how was your first shower s*x baby?” He asked me, stepping closer again, kissing me. “It was amazing, but our s*x is always amazing” I giggled. 

We got dry, got dressed and I got ready for bed. Cody quickly went to clean up the kitchen for me, soon joining me in bed to watch some tv. “Your mum might not like that you are staying here again. I’m taking her boy away from her” I said as I snuggled against his chest. “She better get used to it. I would spend every night with you.” I then got an idea, but it scared me a bit. I sat up and looked at him. “I know we are still so new, but I like having you here too. I’m lonely the nights you aren’t here. Maybe you should just move in?” 

“Really? It is very soon” he hesitated. 

“You’re right. It’s silly. It’s way too soon, it’s only been like 2 months since our first date.”

“Well I’m here most nights. So maybe it’s not such a bad idea. But it’s your house, so I would need to help pay for things.”

“I don’t care about the mortgage or the bills. I just like having your company. Think about it anyway. We’ll get through this weekend away with your family first!” We lay in silence after that, I drifted off to sleep still in his arms, grateful for him being there.
