Pulling into the beach house driveway, we saw Aunt Mel in the driveway pulling bags from the car. They must have just arrived too, we all waved enthusiastically. She made her way over before we had even stopped the car.
“Hello you two! So happy to see you!”
“Hey Mel! Wouldn’t miss this tradition, we had so much fun last year. Usually I hate the end of summer, but we can at least enjoy our weekend!” I said, giving her a hug. She stepped back and looked me up and down. “Did you get even more beautiful? You are absolutely glowing my girl!”
I laughed, “I guess I’m just happy and relaxed. I’ve been off work for a few weeks, I guess I’ve been enjoying the gym and lots of Bush walks in the sun too.”
