Chapter Ten

As I walked into Dusty's Coffee Shop, I didn't see Julian. So, I went and sat at a table meant for two people. I looked at my cellphone, and it read "1:05 pm". Right when I turned around to look for Julian, there he was standing behind me.

"Omg!" I yelled. 

"Did I scare you?" He asked with a smile.

"Obviously!" I responded with a giggle. I couldn't even be mad. He was so handsome.

"How are you?" He asked.

"I'm wonderful. And yourself?"

"I'm great. I get to have coffee with a gorgeous woman. Who wouldn't be in a good mood?"

I looked down because I could feel myself beginning to blush.

" I see you got your gift. You like it?" he asked.

"Yeah, it's uh very beautiful. That was very nice of you, thank you."

"Anything for you" 

We both just smiled at each other.

"So why did you tell me to come here Mr. Tyler?"

"A man can't ask a woman to have coffee with him?" He replied with a side smile.

"Not a married woman."

"I'm not really worried about you being married."

"Excuse me!?"

"Leah, you're a beautiful woman. Stunning to be exact. You're very intelligent, and you know a joke or two." He said while giving a chuckle, and preparing to continue.

"Leah I'm gonna be very straight forward with you. I want you. I've wanted you from the moment I laid eyes on you. And when I want something, I always end up getting it. It may not be right now, but mark my words, you will be mine, Leah Phillips. Cause I won't stop, until you are. I know you aren't happy. And I know you're bored with your husband. I can see it. He doesn't know what to do with a woman like you. But I do. I bought you that gift to show you the things you should be getting every week. I'll give you the finer things in life. I bet you he hasn't given you a gift like that in years. But I will. I know you won't admit it now, but you want me just as bad as I want you. And the feelings are only gonna get stronger. But I'll be waiting."

Did he really just say that? I couldn't believe what I just heard. The whole time he was talking, it seemed like my lungs had stopped working. My heart stopped, and I had to look away to take a deep breath. I had never felt this way before, and it turned me on.

"Nothing to say?" He asked with a smile trying to make contact with my eyes. 

"I'm just a little shocked that's all." 

"I understand. What woman wouldn't be?" He replied giving me a side smile.

"Got that right"

He laughed, and began to stare at me.

"You know I'm not kidding right? I will have you Leah." 

I stared back at him for about 30 seconds, then I made up somewhere I had to go. 

"Um, I gotta get back home. Have to prepare for a case." I said trying to contain my shaking voice. 

"Okay. I'll see you there" he said while giving me a big smile.

"Okay." I got up, grabbed my purse and walked out the door. When I got in my car, I had to take a deep breath. I smiled still thinking about what just happened, and drove off.

By the time I got home, Julian was pulling in his driveway. When I got out the car, I heard his door close. I turned around and he was standing there. I could see him wink at me. I went back in my house, dropped my purse, and pushed my back on my front door.
